I used it for about 2 weeks while we remodeled our kitchen, cooking 2 meals at the same time. It worked great, carbon steel pan didn't work well on it but the rest was fabulous. Fast cooking , easy to put together, I put giant towels under it to protect the counters from splatter. I loved the "still hot" warning light. I just wiped it down with damp cloth for cleaning. I was initially very impressed with this cooktop. It was the perfect size for our kitchenette, installed easily, and heated up quickly. For the first month, it worked exactly as advertised and we used it daily. Then, yesterday, it just stopped working mid-use. No power, no lights, nothing. We've tried different outlets and checked the plug, but the unit is completely dead. It's incredibly frustrating for an appliance to fail so quickly. What started as a great purchase has now become a useless piece of countertop decoration. I would advise looking for a more reliable brand. ... show more

We don't believe we did anything to be hard on it and we have newer pots and pans that are glass top compatible. What really was surprising is this company sending us a replacement. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Installed well. I've used it now about handful of times. My only complaints are the surface scuffs easily from reasonable contact with the bottom of the pans. Maybe this is normal, this is my first cooktop. And the heat settings for the burners skips every other number . They go 9,8,6,4,2,0. ... show more
