It works, I like the simple design. The only issue I have with this style rope over other weighted jump-ropes is the thickness will lead to more faults than the slightly smaller cable based models. It's taken me 6 weeks to get to 500 straight jumps after switching from a 3lb to this 5lb rope, but this rope has done a great job helping me build the endurance to get there. The sheath has taken a beating on our concrete patio, but so far held up without intrusion to the rope. I did run a few stitches through the sheath & rope to keep it centered, & will probably run a scrap of old bike tube over the rope when the sheath wears through. ... show more

This rope including the handles is 108" while it is listed as being 9.2ft, which would be 110.4." Not a massive difference, but this rope is stiff and being a bit shorter than listed, as well as being shorter than any of the other ten random ropes I've recently bought means I need to return it. If you have a Crossrope this is also shorter than the 9ft large size since those are measured in rope length plus the swinging attachment mechanism and not including the handles. I use a large for Crossrope even though I'm 6'3 because my legs are a little shorter. So again this rope is not for taller people. Will have to return and find try another brand that has this weight in a longer size since the only longer options for this brand is more expensive and heavier. ... show more
