This review is for the 1.6 gallon unit. I returned the 2.65 unit since it was larger than described in the ad and didn't fit under my sink. I am very pleased with this unit. It fits perfectly under the sink, was fairly easy to install and works like a charm. It heats rapidly. The digital display is bright and easy to read, although it reads in Celsius and not Fahrenheit. It is completely silent, too. For criticisms, it's Chinese made and doesn't even have the manufacturer's name on it. The directions are very inadequate and poorly translated. It says to descale the heating rods yearly, but doesn't give you a clue as to how. It also mentions draining the unit if it won't be used for a long term, but the is no drain plug. There is a round piece on the back of the unit that rotates. There is no mention of what this is or why it's there. Also, there is a pressure relief valve included. The picture of the unit in the ad shows it attached on the top between the inlet and outlet, but there is no connection point on the actual unit. I made the assumption to attach on the inlet side. All that said, the unit is working fine and hopefully lasts a long time.

Love it. Now we have hot water on the kitchen and for the dishwasher. With our on demand water heater and it being far away from the kitchen, we never had hot water unless I ran the recirculation pump... Lame. This allows us to have hot water and NOT trigger the on demand as I have the cold water supply tee'd into is input.

It works fine. For the first time, it took 10min to heat the water, and you can regulate the temperature. It is really good, because it is small and easy to use. Additionally, you can take a shower without any problem of not having hot water.

It says 1500 Watts. It is very wrong. It is pulling 1790 Watts. This is a problem when you are only wired for 15a. The device is pulling 14.9 amps which is over the 0.75x15a wire rating!! Unsafe. Very unsafe!!

Bought this for under sink use in the kitchen - which it is advertised for and reviews said they were using it for. However, on page 4 of the manual, it says "NOT Drinkable". When I chatted with a helpful Amazon customer service person, they confirmed that their internal description of this unit says not to use for drinking water. I think the manufacturer should have stated this important caution in the product description/features - which they did not at the time I bought it or at the time of this review. Also, the description says it comes with a complete accessory kit. Not sure what that means, but for me to install under my kitchen sink, I would need to go buy another connection hose and adapters of some sort since the inlet and outlets on the heater are not the same as the connections to my standard Moen sink faucet.
