I bought 2 xl purple and black, and then 2 large bright blue towels. I also got an assortment of smaller sizes in all 3 of those colors as well. The blue is not as bright as advertised but it is still nice. The towels are soft and durable. I haven't had any issues with them shedding. Make sure when you first get them that you read the washing instructions, that's what keeps them so soft and fluffy. ... show more

These are great towels and good quality as well. I love the "Colonial Blue" color, which is more of a dark teal green color. It goes great in my bathroom and matches my dark teal shower curtain almost perfectly! These towels have stayed very soft, and are very absorbent as well. Yes, they DO shed for the first couple of washes. Do yourself a favor, and wash them in COLD water with good detergent and NO fabric softener, then dry them on LOW heat without using dryer softener sheets. You may need to do this 2-3 times before you use them. Then, the shedding stops. If you follow these guidelines, they stay really soft and don't shed. Because they are a little heavier quality, they do take a little while to dry when hanging after a shower. I run a tower fan aimed in from the doorway of my bathroom for an hour or so after showering to help them and my bathroom to stay dry (I don't have a window I can open). I read the reviews. I read all of Sarah's review. It was long but worth the read. I followed her directions and my blue towels are fantastic! There was some lint in my lint trap in the dryer after I washed them (I used no fabric softer). There hasn't been any lint on our skin after showers or bathes. No frayed edges and they are very soft. I'm not sure about any of those reviews that claim the lint and shedding from the towels is excessive because I washed mine when I received them and there was less than the amount of lint in the dryer than I expected from the first wash. I probably paid more than I should have but so far they seem to be good. Haven't used them yet ( waiting to wash the old towels so I can donate them) but they feel soft and nice and I don't expect to have trouble with them absorbing water after my shower. After reading soooo many reviews I tend to think the problems with the towels are due to the washing machines being used and not the towels themselves. Anyway, I would recommend them based on what I've seen so far. ... show more

Does it's job, good quality thickness and absorbent. Soft texture, doesn't get that weird dry texture after washing. It DOES flake on you, got black fly-offs everywhere on me after drying, come off you easily when dry. Still tiresome when you're trying to get to work. Overall good for now.
