I ordered this safe because it was exactly what I wanted. However, the door was very difficult to open because it was off center. Not sure if it left the factory that way or if it happened during shipment. We had to pry the door open with a crow bar which scratched the safe. Then we used a rubber mallet on the edges of the door to center it. In the end it all worked out, despite the scratches. The lock works well, either with the key or the combination. I don't usually leave reviews for things, but this is not ok. If I could leave a 0 star, I would. I got this safe to replace a Sentry safe that started cracking. Now, I'm not an expert by any means, but if something says it is waterproof and fireproof, I expect it to be of decent quality. However, this is not. This material is extremely light, feels like mediocre filing cabinet material, not durable, you can literally push on it and it starts to bend. It came out of the box with a chip already taken out of the edge. I got it open to take a look at the inside, and again, material is thin, I can push from the inside's ceiling upwards and see it bend. Not to mention, it literally has holes in it. The holes are used for mounting the "safe" and are predrilled. It has HOLES IN IT. It's supposed to be a SAFE and it's not, let alone be waterproof and fireproof. There is quite literally no way it's water or fireproof with holes in it. This is absolutely not worth the money in any context. You can get an ENCLOSED SAFE that's actually water and fireproof for cheaper than this. Not worth the time, not worth the money. I should have read a bit more I guess to find that it has holes for mounting, but regardless it should not say it's fire or waterproof if it literally has holes in it. Quite ridiculous actually... Do not buy unless you're looking for a lockbox that is NOT water or fireproof and EVEN THEN DON'T BUY IT, you can find lockboxes for cheaper. ... show more

Safe works nicely. Small damage but still damaged during packing. Description states fireproof and waterproof but after mounting there will be at least 2 holes open. The material is very thin and don't know how it could be either fire or water proof.
