If you buy the shiny metal looking pump you will run into a problem of the possibility of the pump being set to run on 220v instead of 110v, even though that it has a standard 110v cord to plug in. I reached out to explain to the seller that the motor just hums and won't start, after a couple back and forth with the seller I get that the switch is inside the pump which means that I would have to disassemble it to change the Voltage requirement, which also is nuts, I requested a picture and instructions for the procedure, let's see if THAT happens, will update. UP DATE, don't buy a pump that has no means to change the voltage, pump looked good but can't use, sending back, I'm disappointed. ... show more
