This is my first wall safe but after researching my needs, I selected this one. Package arrived well packed and the instructions were good. The product fit perfectly between my studs and it took less than 30 minutes (longer to cut the drywall by hand ). It bolted in easily with my drill and sits flush. We have plenty of room for our documents and other items. I like the fact that it has an external battery AND a key if the batteries in the safe go bad - great idea. You can have multiple codes also, though I’m not certain as to that specific need. As I said in the header, great product and easy install.

The media could not be loaded. Product fits perfectly flush to wall and its between existing studs. Installation is a breeze. Features pin unlock, key unlock and comes with battery backup block. Exactly what I was looking for. I paired with fireproof bags for money and passports, sold separately.

I was super excited for this safe. Installation was fairly simple, yet messy (cutting drywall=dust everywhere). I should've checked the whole locking mechanism BEFORE I installed it. It does not work. Can't even lock it with the key. No matter what I do, I just have the turn the knob and, voila, this super secure safe pops right open. I tried to watch videos, contact the seller, all to no avail. So, what I have now is a really cool looking metal 'cabinet' that is installed in the wall and covered with a hinged painting.

Solidly constructed of steel, fairly heavy. Had no problems programming the keypad or installing it…I traced a stencil on cardboard from the box it came in which worked well for marking the opening. After cutting the opening, I added a small piece of 2x4 on each stud at the base of the opening for it to rest on. So overall installation was fairly simple. Storage-wise, as has been noted there’s not as much storage space as you may expect. It’s thin (as it has to be to fit in a wall), and the lock mechanism takes up a good amount of the interior space. The false bottom is neat for small items, but it def won’t be a secret for anyone who breaks into it. The shelves are removable, but you can’t adjust them. When shut and locked, the door gaps enough for a medium-sized screwdriver to be wedged in but that’d have to be followed by a larger prying tool to defeat the door. Would prob be easier for a thief to rip the whole thing out of the wall and take it with them. Overall I’d say this is a decent safeguard for valuable documents and smaller items; hopefully a good enough deterrent. Hiding it well is probably the key.

I bought this based on the reviews, being fireproof, and that it had the external battery box. It sounded the best of the ones that I looked at. The safe was very secure in it's packaging. There was a loose screw inside that I have yet to figure out if it goes anywhere or just tossed in. It looks like one for the hinges, although they have both screws. The shelves are a little flimsy. They are held in place with plastic anchors. One was broke so I just used a zip tie. I would think they should fit better, but once loaded they are ok. Fireproof - while the safe itself may be fireproof, I doubt the contents inside are completely safe. I can put a flashlight in the unit, shut the door, and see light on the hinge side and a little at the top of the door. I purchased a couple of fireproof bags for extra security. I do like the ability to set 2 different codes and it wasn't a problem setting them up. Of course having a key and the external battery box is a big plus. Overall I'm satisfied with the unit.
