If your in the market for a safe this id the one. This is the 3rd dafe o hybrid purchased on Amazon the other 2 were gifts, this is my personal safe and I love it. The hidden compartment in the bottom also has it's own separate key to lock. The space is a nice size,the alarm feature works great my 1 year old grandson has set it off a couple of times.     • Lighter than expected, lots of plastic on the keypad area, like the 2nd locking compartment.
This was a great price and replaced a much larger safe I could not take when I moved. It is light enough for one person to carry away, so it will have to be built-in or bolted in place for added security. There's a key to open the front as an alternative to the keypad (two keys included) and a second set of keys (different size) to open the second interior area. That's fairly large and would a cigar box and then some. The combination can be set to whatever you want and changed. The keypad is all plastic, as is the dial that opens the door. If the battery dies or you forget the code, use the key. There's a little sliding door (plastic) that conceals the keyway. There's two shelves, a small pocket on the door and key hooks. The pocket and hooks - plastic. When the door closes, it's inset and there virtually no gap, so it would be difficult to get a crowbar in there. For the money it's a great little safe. ... show more

    • Is Easy and Sturdy
This was easy to set up. I like the big space inside and you can set the shelf high or low or not even used at all. The more you put inside, the more it weighs making it unmovable. So make sure you pick a good spot that you don't intend to move it from.

    • Only lasted one year..
This safe lasted just over one year. It's not like a refrigerator that you get into every day, multiple times a day. We opened it a handful of times over the year. Yesterday we tried to open it and it would not open. We had to destroy the door to finally get into it. It's too big to try to send back. I would not recommend this safe. ... show more

I like the hidden compartment that locks so you can allow some access to one while maintaining control of the other. The safe also seems well built with no issues of scratches or chips in the paint as others have mentioned. I don't use the keypad and only plan to use the keys and hope that it continues to allow me to open over time. Note some reviewers have complained about not being able to open. At this point I like the product and recommend it. I will update my review If the situation changes. Note this is not a fire resistant safe. ... show more
