We received both types. 1900 pieces in each we spread it out in the areas we wanted and really enjoyed it for about an hr that night after the sun delivered its energy but they never glowed again. I check every evening to see if they shine and you wouldn’t even know there were glow rocks requesting my money back. Terrible buy.

The rocks feel like plastic pellets. I threw them all over my driveway and when it rained they floated down my driveway, down the sidewalk, and into the road. Definitely would not recommend for outside use. They do not glow more than 2 hours in the dark

This glow in the dark gravel is good for a variety of uses. It may be intended for an aquarium or terrarium, but I got it to use in a little "fairy garden" outside. It's not a huge quantity-- for an aquarium/ terrarium you'd probably need to have a base of regular gravel (or mix it). Also, it needs a consistent light source for several hours to be able to glow at night. It works well for my needs as a decorative accent.
