I ordered the LUCANDE Store's "19-inch Modern Ceramic Table Lamp, Silver Jar-Style Base with White Fabric Shade" mainly because I liked the unusual modern design. Small lamps of this size are useful throughout our home, and I assumed that my wife and I could find a good location for it. Further, the style fits well with our color schemes in several rooms. The lamp's silver base is obviously its major strength as a decorative accent piece. In all honesty, I've seen a lot of different lamps over the years, and I have even created several of my own lamps from vintage wooden factory molds, antique phones, musical instruments, and antique wooden wallpaper rollers. With all of this experience with table lamps, I have never before seen one similar to the LUCANDE lamp. I also like the unusual oval shade (see my photos), which is a nice match for the round base. The one feature I do not like is having the on-off switch on the lamp's electrical wire. I would have strongly preferred have the switch attached to the lamp. I can modify this myself, so it's not a dealbreaker for me. I'm not sure about the price. Table lamps can be quite pricey. The LUCANDE lamp does not have the look and feel of an upscale item. For example, although I appreciate the shade's design, it does seem to be made of relatively modest components. So, as always, I recommend that potential buyers do some comparison-shopping if they feel uncomfortable with the current price. ... show more

This is a nice looking table lamp with a modern flair, but can work in a number of different decor styles. The lamp is 19” tall and 14” wide. The base is ceramic, but it is designed to look like polished silver metal. The shade fabric looks high quality and the color is a neutral off white. This lamp will compliment the look of your entryway, bedroom, kitchen or even bathroom. All you need to do is provide the bulb. I like the switch on the cord, because it is a simple finger press to turn on and off. The lamp is a decent weight and overall, I find the lamp to be quite attractive. In my opinion, though, the lamp is somewhat overpriced compared to other similar styled lamps. ... show more
