Sorry for the long review but please read if you are a beginner or thinking of purchasing. So first things first.. this kit is amazing. I was home sick from work and thought I would give it a shot. However, I've been doing my own dip nails for about 2 years now and have not had very much luck on any kits I have purchased as far as durability. Thus kit was very easy to use. The dips are very good quality and dipped very evenly which is something I have never had before. As far as the colors, only one of mine didn't match the picture BUT it wasn't too far off and honestly made this set look better I feel. You do get more than enough dip so this will last a while as far as the powder. Now to the cons.. there isn't much gel, brush saver, or base so that will have to be something you purchase yourself if you want more. I also wasn't a very big fan of the file or buffing block so I used my own that I had. This also doesn't come with tips if you want to lengthen your nails but all of those individually are pretty cheap if you order from Amazon in bulk. The top gel is very nice and shiny.. but due to a couple mistakes I made it did take 2 coats to cover scratches on my nails and also took 4 attempts to cure. Which is another con, it gives you a UV top coat but not a light, however I'm not sure it's needed.. I just chose to in order to speed up the process. I'm not sure of the durability of these because I literally just put them on an hour before making the review.. but they seem fairly strong like you would get at a salon. I only used 2 coats of dip and they aren't sheer and they are sturdy but that's a personal preference of how much you want to use. Overall I think this kit is wonderful and for me the pros outweigh the cons. But I don't feel like it's very beginner friendly just because if you make a mistake it's going to take a while to restart due to the quality of the product. For beginners I would recommend something cheaper like a Kiss nail kit or something along the lines to practice before you get this. I will update on how long they last as my job requires a lot of hands on tasks and cleaning with strong chemicals.

I love this powder!!! This is my second time using it! My nails aren’t strong and after using shellack turned to very brittle. Shellack would last about 5 days with no chipping. This powder is affordable! Has beautiful colors and even my first rookie set that I did ( I made a lot of mistakes there) lasted almost 3 weeks - I think I could have them on for longer I just decided to change the color and my nails actually grew up so it was looking ugly. After I took of the powder ( you can file it off or soak it off) my nails stayed strong too 😍 I took of the powder and then went to run some errands and I was surprised that I didn’t break a nail. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of my first set of mani with this powder. It was looking cute but practice makes it perfect. Pictures attached is my second attempt. Not gonna lie I spent a lot of time that day on my nails - but just because I am perfectionist. I did 2-3 layers of powder ( 3 layers on my middle, pointing thumb nails to make them thicker). Also I used a layer of gel base and top on my left hand( to cover the powder instead of provided top- the reason is I always mess up the last layer of my mani unless I just use UV gel and cure it 🤷🏼♀️) - to make them thicker and I like the shine more. On my right I just used the gel top to see if I prefer my nails thicker or not. for the first layer of dip powder I would recommend - not to cover the entire nail blade - leave some space around the cuticle- then 2-3 layer cover the entire nail - thus the cuticle part will look more neat. This is a full kit with everything you need for beautiful acrylic dip nails. The buffer and the nail file are amazing. The colors are gorgeous and I think that anybody using this kit would enjoy the end result of what their nails would look like. The only downside is that the activator that is used has a really strong smell, which some may be very sensitive to. If the smell were a bit less, I would enjoy this more.

I’m writing this review a year after purchasing. Every time I used this dip powder set I would end up with with HORRIBLE congestion and wheezing 2-3 hours after, lasting 3-4 days. At first I thought I had a cold that wouldn’t go away until I googled if dip powder had something to do with it. Turns out there is something called “dip flu” where you pretty much get bronchitis from inhaling the powder and fumes from the chemicals from dip sets. They suggest wearing a t-95 mask or a painters mask and doing your nails outside. If something is that bad for me that I have to wear a surgical grade mask or better that’s a little sketchy. If that doesn’t deter you from using the product then you should know it chips after 2-3 days, even with 3-4 coats, a different topper, etc (I’ve tried it all). With this product I had to redo my nails every week when usually dip at the salon lasts me 2 weeks +. Bottom line up front, don’t use this product. I was told higher quality dip sets don’t cause the dip flu. So spend the extra $10 instead of wasting your money on this one.
