I bought this to use for a DIY pool heater I built. It's been set up for about a week or so and working great, water output can reach 160 degrees at times, far too warm but nice to know at the settings I'm using the machine isn't straining. It's very sensitive to water and gas pressure so it took me probably 30 minutes to dial in the gas pressure and water flow but once that's complete it's fully automated. So for cons. The manual is useless. It's very sensitive to gas pressure and if you have too much/little it will not ignite, buy a good regulator. Same for water, too little and the igniter won't function. Too much and it has a relief valve that ill drain the water out of the bottom.The display is in Celsius. The water/gas connectors aren't US standard so you'll need adapters. It has a 20 minute built in off timer so you'll need a water pump on a timer that runs for 20 min, off for a couple minutes, and back on if you want continuous use. Here's what I bought for adapters: Gas: Anderson Metals - 54046-0608 Brass Tube Fitting, Coupling, 3/8" Flare x 1/2" Female Pipe GasOne 2109-RED 4 ft High Pressure 0-20 PSI Adjustable Regulator Water: 1/2” G Thread (BSP) Female to 1/2” NPT Male Connector I also went and bought pvc connectors for running my water lines, I took the connector with me to the store but you'll need two 1/2" female 'screw on' connectors to attach hard lines.

I purchased one of these last year and when I reinstalled it this year something inside started leaking. So I purchased another one the same exact brand thinking maybe it was just a fluke with the first one. But apparently it's bad quality. I purchased another one and it does not work at all this is for an Airbnb that is out of town. I hook the unit up had no power so I had to get batteries and go back another day by the time I got back I was 2 days after the return. And this one still had no power and would not work at all. When I tried to request a replacement I basically got to run around from this company. They stopped responding to me for no apparent reason whatsoever. The only thing I did was ask them to honor a replacement. And then I got ghosted. I've been without hot water for my Airbnb and cannot have guests until I can provide hot water. This makes for a very difficult situation.

I love this thing. I think everyone would if they understood what is required for the installation. The two biggest things to know: Use a low pressure LP regulator. Make sure your water source has enough volume and pressure. A garden hose is fine. If you are camping you may need a different pump to run this. It must have adequate flow and pressure or the unit will not light. It's a self protection safety feature built in to the unit. Same with the regulator. Will not light with a high pressure regulator. I use this daily on the back deck to wash Moose off. (My chocolate Lab) He gets muddy and can't come inside without a quick shower. This thing is perfect and he loves the warm water. I did buy a better more durable shower head and hose for it. The one it comes with is pretty cheap, but that's ok. The unit itself is very well made and durable. I turn the water on, it starts automatically and the water is warm in a few seconds. It is faster than my own shower by far. If you have been thinking of buying one of these this is it. It makes all the hot water you would ever need for a shower and more. 5 stars, Definitely!

I purchased it in Mar of 2021, (it's July 2023 now), to heat my stock tank hot tub. I can take an 8ft round tank (700 usGal) from 75F deg to 110deg in 2.5 to 3 hrs. It shows Celcius for temps so I put the conversion on it. ( yay Sharpe) . Installation was relatively easy if you have any plumbing experience. On installation I did get the plumbing adapters, DONT FOR GET THEM and I put quick disconnects on the water in and out and the hoses. I have garden hoses ( good ones not the cheapy) connected to the hot tub and the pump. I also put plumbing pipe insulation over the hoses too, which works nicely. When it is going to storm It's a 3 min job to pull the connections and bring it in the house, otherwise, I just cover it with a tarp. I was going to build an enclosure for it but I can't find the stove pipe to fit it. The issues I have had over the years is the tab to hold the batteries in the holder has broken and I can't find how to get a replacement battery pack. The twist lock works but it bulges. They corrode a bit but are easy to clean, but gee it's outside all spring, summer, and fall. I'm in Minnesota so no on winter. I also have had issues with the gas valve not clicking on all the time, some times its the battery is low ( there is no replacement battery indicator.) not sure what the other cause is. I just turn it on and off several times and it starts working (did not happen often). Once it runs it runs for hours even with the pump cycling on and off. Im very happy with the way it has lasted and heats the water. A very good buy.

Got this to shower while camping. It has been great. Works perfectly. Only negative is that there are screws that protrude out the back that I needed to cover to protect the side of my camper where I hung this from.

TRASH!!!! DO NOT BUY!!! DANGER!!!! Will not be exchanging for another this will make 3rd heater to replace, I can deal with there only being Celsius but im not ok with ZERO WAY TO ADJUST TEMPERATURE either you scald or freeze, the second you try to cool it down by turning on cold faucet... the heater shuts down I tried turning on cold first then turn hot full blast goes on for 1 min then shuts off because the cold added makes no sense is GARBAGE!!!

12/5/24 So my first unit I got would not turn on and after troubleshooting everything I could think of, I reached out to the seller and they sent me a replacement. It works!! Any time I turn my hot water on it automatically turns on and starts heating up. Super convenient for being offgrid. You just need steady water and gas pressure and it works like a charm! 2 years of boiling water for showers is over!! I'll update if it's no longer working. But if I don't update, its still doing the job!
