I purchased this motor to replace a Tecumseh 8hp (hmsk80) on a 37 year old John Deere 826 snow blower. The bones of the snow blower were great and worth this expense. The fit up was much easier than I thought. I did need to drill two new holes in the mounting plate to mount this motor. The existing pulley and belts were reused. We’ve had one good snow storm and it performed wonderfully. Motor starts easy and brings new life to an old snowblower. I do wish there was an aftermarket shroud for the air cleaner box to keep blowing snow out, and, draw in warm air off the hot engine. I would buy this again for other snow blower conversions. ... show more

Basically have to pull your guts out to get it started. Choke lever freezes and won’t move. Have to adjust the idle. Basically Junk like the Honda it replaced.

Torque converter clutch will not fit on here without modification to the oil port, with the oil port cap on the converter simply will not fit the cap is in the way.
