I got this 18-egg incubator thinking, “This will be a cute little farm project.” Spoiler alert: it was cute… until 18 fluffy maniacs hatched and took over my living room like a toddler-led coup. Setup was easy, aside from the manual being written in what I can only assume was Google Translate’s “chaotic neutral” mode. Once I figured out what button didn’t start the self-destruct sequence, it was smooth sailing. Temp and humidity held steady, and the automatic turner did all the work while I sat back and questioned my life decisions. Come hatch day, the eggs started popping like popcorn, one after another. It was adorable… and slightly terrifying. I now have 18 tiny chickens, a cardboard box brooder, and a rooster named Greg who thinks he’s in charge (he’s not, but I don’t have the heart to tell him). This incubator is a beast. Reliable, efficient, and way too good at turning eggs into roommates. Highly recommend—just don’t name them all unless you’re emotionally prepared. Especially not the fluffy one that follows you around. That’s how they get you.

I got this incubator to use in place of the much larger one that I had been using. I needed something that would incubate just a few eggs at a time. This little incubator seems to fit the bill nicely. It only holds 18 eggs and has a small footprint not much bigger than a dinner plate. It is not a set it and forget it incubator. You will have to monitor the temperature and humidity levels for your environment. I have it sitting in a climate-controlled room in my shop and the levels stay pretty steady. I will say that the "A" slot for the water is too much for my area and keeps the humidity to high for the first stages of incubation so I emptied it and can add small amounts of water at a time which is easy enough to do. It stabilized in about an hour and you could put eggs in it at that time, but I waited 24 hrs just to make sure there were no problems. The settings are easy to use and understand, the heat level stays very steady and it was quick and easy to set up.

This is an egg incubator that really got me excited once I figured out how easy and simple it was to operate and how it is so much more functional than you would think. Firstly it’s large so it’s really easy to see inside, easy to get to all areas to clean, and looks good in general. The buttons are simple to understand and the display shows exactly what you want to know. When it’s running it’s not loud but you do hear the fan going. One of the most “eggciting” things about it is the candling feature. No more trying to find a bright flash light cause the light is right on top and ready to go with one touch of a button. This is a great priced incubator with all these features it has! The egg rotating feature it uses also is going to make things a lot easier and it can be set to rotate every hour or every 2 hours. Even the water bottles are designed well with the caps that are designed to slip right into place. I’m really looking forward to hatching many chicks from this device.
