  • It works
Color: Orange
Purchased this a few months ago, I wanted to give it a test run.I actually used this prior to giving a review unlike others that say whatever before they actually used the product. It works. The humidity level fluctuated a little during use, that could of been because of the weather patterns we had. Loaded this sucker up with 18 chicken eggs, the incubator ran its course very well and in exactly 21 days the chicks started hatching. The directions are pretty good not to much chinglish. Its pretty much self explanatory. I'm satisfied with the operation and it did what its supposed to. ... show more

  • Great product and price
Color: Orange
First time we have used it and it was a success. No issues, easy set up, worked as it should. Calculated days perfectly, started hatching on the 21st day as expected. No smells throughout the duration of the process. Solid product, very durable and is neat and tidy. Highly recommended.

  • Humidity/Ambient Temperature of Room Matters!
Color: Orange
The temperature in the room you keep this incubator is important! I did not know that before I tried to start some eggs and ran into an issue with keeping the humidity level at the recommended 55%. It's February in Northern California, and our house stays at about 65 degrees. I was unable to keep the humidity level at the recommended 55%, and I don't think it was the fault of the product. I believe that it was because the ambient temperature was just too low this time of year. Once the incubator reached under 44%, the alarm beeped and let me know the humidity was too low. I plan on trying again when it warms up. As for the actual product, it was super simple to assemble. The instructions were easy to follow. Once I figured out how to line up the arrows on the top, I was able to screw the top on relatively easily. The water bottles that help to aid with humidity were easy to fill. Remember to get some distilled water beforehand. The egg turner worked perfectly and the temperature stayed 100.4 degrees F. Overall, I am very happy with this product and plan to hatch some eggs when the days warm up to 75 or 80 degrees. I plan to try this again in early summer and will update my review. ... show more

  • This little incubator gets the job done!
Color: Orange
Although I would love if some things were improved, for the price and with all 16 eggs hatching, this little incubator can't be beat! The two major cons (the instructions were terrible, and the temperature gauge was incorrect) were easy to work around. I simply researched humidity and other newbie hatching instructions and checked the eggs using a digital thermometer. I needed to adjust my incubator to 99.3 for the best egg temperature range. Also, the water bottles had no trouble maintaining the humidity and a little squeeze of the bottle could easily raise it. The first 18 days only one bottle was needed, but I covered the other bottle's opening with adaptor piece to hold the humidity better. For the price, appearance, and effectiveness, this little guy is fabulous! ... show more

  • Very High Success Rate, Lots of Baby Chicks!
Color: Orange
We have had very good success with this incubator. Nearly a 100% success rate and survival rate. We leave the newly hatched chicks inside until they are completely dry, then transfer them to the brooder. It's easy to clean, and does a great job regulating temperature and humidity. We will be buying a second one to increase our hatching capacity. ... show more

  • No setting for specific humidity level.
Color: Orange
This incubator is amazing. The basic setting functions are literally right under the buttons so you easily remember what button does what. It heats up incredibly fast and does a very good job. Keep the bottom piece of foam it comes in in case it’s winter or it gets pretty cold in your room. They tell you that on the instruction manual and I haven’t needed to use it yet and it is cold where I live. Installing it was incredibly easy, it looks really nice, and didn’t have any weird smell. Only rated this 4 stars for two things. One, is you cannot set a specific humidity level. So get a spray bottle when it’s time for lockdown. The other thing is the larger egg tray is too big for duck eggs (but it still turns them) and the the smaller egg tray is too small for the duck eggs. But maybe my girls have just been laying inconveniently sized eggs. ... show more

  • Easy to Use, Works Great, successful.
Color: Orange
I was wanting to upgrade from a smaller incubator I have, that was not very successful. This one seemed to have good reviews. I have my own chickens and roosters, so what I planned to hatch were my own farm mix eggs. Out of the eggs I had 4 that were not fertile and at about 2 weeks I removed one other egg that had stopped developing. The rest of the eggs had great development. They should be hatching in 3 days. The digital display works great. I was confused a bit on the humidity and how to get it to adjust. Directions were kinda lacking. I could not get the humidity to get high enough just using the "A" bottle, but if I added water to the second bottle it was too high. So I ended up just adding a little water directly to "B" so the reservoir was not completely full of water, this provided just enough to bump the humidity up more. ( we are in Utah, so a dryer aired state, so this might not be an issue for other areas) The egg candle light is nice additions but my eggs are brown, and so it was not quite bright enough so I just kept using the egg candler I already had. I appreciated the nice clear viewing area of the eggs, the turning tray is way better than my previous incubator and does a really good job tracking when it will turn and the eggs turn well. Controls are fairly easy, for the most part, I really have not messed with them , it tracks what day you are, temp and humity, the egg turner turns off as you approach the end, so no need to do anything, but add water to the second water bottle at day 19. I'm excited to see the little furballs hatch. ... show more
