This carrier is attractive in the grey color (blue piping trim) and is well made for its intended use, for smaller animals less than 15 pounds. When fully opened, the carrier is rather sturdy, with openings on one end and from the top. The carrier uses very nice zippers with easy to grip pulls. However, the ends of the zippers cannot be easily fastened together for additional security to prevent pet escapes. The carrier has two straps for hand carrying, but nothing to connect the straps together for long distance carrying. (A standard padded luggage handle strap could solve this issue.) The carrier also has a detachable shoulder strap. Both shoulder strap and the hand straps have a comfortable width and thickness. There is an inside attached leash for additional security, and two pockets on the outside of the carrier for essentials. For additional comfort and bottom support, this carrier includes a “sherpa” mat insert. It's perfect for short trips but also meets requirements for airline travel inside the cabin. TSA requires pet carriers to have waterproof bottom and mesh on at least two sides (this carrier has mesh on three sides). At 17x11x11 inches, this carrier is easily within the (posted) maximum size allowable for multiple airlines. When not in use, this carrier folds flat for easy storage, definitely a great feature for me or anyone short on space. I can't say my cats are excited about getting into ANY carrier, but this one is very nice for any necessary trip. Because of its size and portability, I'm making it part of my emergency (hurricane) preparedness kit.

I was able to fit a 20 pound cat in this bag. He's a chonky boy. But the bottom did NOT bow. The strap held up going up and down the stairs, a good jostling. And my boy had room to roll over, have his treats and get a good nap in!

I have a cat who is on the smaller side, and I love the idea of having you carrier for when taking him to the vet, but I don’t want to store a big huge device all the time. This Peixty Small animal carrier is absolutely perfect for my needs. It folds down to store completely flat and ties with the attached straps and is a breeze to build when you need it. I would say it probably took me about 30 seconds to get it set up. I am not especially large, and I hate the idea of carrying around a very heavy cat carrier with my cat inside. I don’t need much extra space for my cat as I only use this carrier when taking him to the vet. We don’t use this for car trips or any other purpose so it does not need to be roomy. When I placed him inside, he went in with no problem and the nice soft bottom was very appreciated. He was able to lay down comfortably and as I zipped it over his head, the tops and sides are mesh and very breathable. I think he liked being able to see out somewhat. The price of this carrier is incredibly low, especially on the Amazon sale, and I would highly recommend it if you have a small animal.

I use this soft sided pet carrier to transport my rabbit. It is a good size that would hold a cat or smaller dog as well. It has enough mesh openings on each side for ventilation and the zippers are easy to maneuver. I like that it has handles like a duffle bad: two short and one long shoulder strap. The handles also help with storage of the bag, as they can be wrapped around the collapsed bag for storing. The interior has a rug-like mat that is removable. I like that I can spot clean or even wash it in the washer if my rabbit has an accident in the carrier. The rug is plush, but I also add a fleece blanket for my rabbit to nest in. The overall carrier/bag is lightweight and easy to transport. There are multiple openings to it for easy access to the interior, which makes cleaning it easy too. I like being able to see into the carrier to check on my rabbit. The only negative I have found is that unlike a hard sided carrier, this soft sided one is more difficult to seat-belt into my car. The long shoulder strap can be hooked over the headrest of a car seat, but it can't be fastened to the set with a seat belt.
