Did not come sharp. Received these as a gift and were not quite what I wanted. They were not sharp out of the box as expected and I was not 100% satisfied with the quality. I contacted them within 10 days of exceeding the 30 day return window (only exceeded due to receiving them as a gift) and they refused to allow me to return them despite being unused and still in their original packaging and being a gift. I asked for a supervisor to review my request and again was denied. They kept sending me advice on how to sharpen them. If you spend that much on a new set of knives, I don't expect to spend hours sharpening them when I receive them. Not to mention I noticed bad reviews about the knives rusting and not lasting long. If you are purchasing for a gift, make sure not to plan too far in advance or you'll be stuck!

Nice. But not real Damascus steel. Laser etched on. You can tell because the pattern matches the pictures. Every knife should be different pattern because of the method that is Damascus. Kinda disappointed.

Sharpest knives I think I've ever had. They cut through cardboard like paper. You get so many knives in this set and they are all really high quality. I really like the Damascus design on the blades and the wood handles are luxurious. The knife block is fairly small and lightweight, and it looks really nice on my countertops. Just a warning as well, the scissors spring open when you lift the little latch on them. A little dangerous without warning or if they get in the wrong hands. Beautiful knife set though

The knives are NOT dishwasher safe despite saying so in the description. My wood handles have already developed cracks & I bought these less than 6 months ago. A quality lacquer finish will solve the issue, but they should have come like that from the factory. As is, this product will not survive even a year of usage in your dishwasher. Do not purchase this product, it is designed for hand washing only but I wanted something I could toss in my dishwasher and forget about.

These knives ARE NOT Damascus Steel!!!! The knives are etched with a laser to look like they are. Don’t pay for steel you aren’t getting! They are cheap knives made in China, Not Japan
