This was purchased for use in a two-seater UTV. It gets loud enough to hear the music over the engine and wind noise, but the sound quality suffers at that volume. Without getting something ridiculously loud, I don't think there is a way around that. It sounds great when putting around at reasonable speeds, which is what we were after. The sound bar has been installed for 5 months and is still working flawlessly after being subjected to dust, water, and vibration. Oh, the lights are a cool touch at night. For the amount of money it cost, you'd definitely expect a better sound,, plus if you mount it on your cross bar on your atv you'd expect that it would come with rubber cushions,, my 7 yr old granddaughter is happy but I definitely saw too many flaws
