Rear height 20.70 mm (0.81 in.) the quality is amazing and the bag is not heavy, It fits my laptop + big charger + wireless mouse + mousepad + some iphone chargers and an Ipad or small laptop and a 170 pages book with big spine, some a4 papers and three thin documents files and maybe more. Without even extendening the bag. I feel like the laptop compartment is tight and the depth is not enough since the bottom of the laptop compartment is padded so much. I absolutely love this bag! I recently took a job as a deputy coroner and needed something for documents, personal protective gear, and clip boards. I have ample room for much more. If you’re on the fence about buying this bag, JUST DO IT!!

    • Very roomy; lots of storage areas; good padding to protect laptops

I'm very happy with this computer bag! It seems well-made (haven't had it long enough to truly test that) and has lots of pockets and designated areas to hold binders, client files, pens/highlighters, notebooks, etc. The areas for storing/carrying your laptop are well-padded and large enough to accommodate almost any size computer. The shoulder strap is adjustable, which is a nice feature (I'm very short, so "typical" lengths tend to hit me at an awkward, mid-leg area). There is a padded section, which sits on your shoulder when carrying the bag and prevents the straps from cutting/digging into your shoulder. I wish this bag came in a leather (or faux leather) option, as the canvas doesn't look as "professional" as other bags. The only other thing that's missing is a small, side pocket. Other bags I've owned had this pocket - and it's perfect for keeping a wireless mouse or small box of business cards in. I much preferred that to just tossing my mouse in one of the main compartments. The positives of this bag far outweigh the negatives, tho! For the price, it is one of the best computer bags/brief cases I've ever owned. I will definitely recommend this bag to others! ... show more

    • Don't expect impact protection

They fit a 17.3" laptop with a sleeve, and you'll need that sleeve because this bag does not provide any impact protection on the bottom. The thin strip of foam meant to line the bottom of the laptop compartment is pushed to the side by the laptop, rendering it useless, so there's only the thin outer material between the laptop and the floor. I'm not returning it because I happen to have an old bag with removable protective material which I'm using to line the bottom of this bag. I am also using a sturdier strap from the old bag because another reviewer pointed out that the clips on this bag's strap are weak and may fail. Other than that, it's a good carry-on size and I like the layout of the compartment and pockets so it's two stars instead of one. ... show more

If I could give this bag 10 stars I would!!! Seems very durable. I was a little worried when I ordered it that it would be too thick and bulky, more like a suitcase but it's not. It's perfect!!! Plenty of padding to protect your electronics. My wide screen Dell Inspiron laptop fits perfectly!! I lost track counting how many pockets it has. SO MANY!!!! This bag will hold my 17.3" laptop nicely but I am really surprised by the storage. Right now there is more storage than I could possibly use but more is always good since things could change. The price is right for this bag and others will be more expensive of course. This bag seems durable and well padded. I can't see the leather bags with this kind of storage. Nice roomy bag, unfortunately the shoulder pad stitching has ripped during the first week of use. Very disappointing on an otherwise nice bag. UPDATE: The excellent Customer Service department reach out to me and immediately replaced my bag. This one appears to be flawless, appears that the stitching on the shoulder strap pad was simply defective. As I mentioned originally, this is otherwise a great, roomy, and functional bag. I had to make 2 emergency trips across the country after a few years of no flying. The first trip, my computer bag was no match for my new 16” laptop-and I wrecked my shoulder trying to carry it. When I found out I had to go back, I immediately started shopping for a new computer bag for carry on. My husband was looking at all these $300 bags, because he needed one too. He bought some fancy overpriced thing and we returned it immediately-it was tiny and already coming apart! I found this bag and figured it looked right size-wise, and for the price? Even if it only made one successful flight, it paid for itself as long as I didn’t need a chiropractor the minute I got home. I bought my husband one too, and just didn’t tell him how inexpensive it was. (He’s super picky, and assumes things are nice if they’re expensive) Well, not only did this bag make the trip without a scratch on it or my devices, I was able to fit literally everything I needed-my laptop, iPad, file folders, a notebook, my journal, all of the chargers and adapters and cords, a bag full of colored pencils…plus a few masks, my ID and cards, a candy bar and a few office supplies while I was at it! The strap is padded and I carried all my crap without any soreness or sharp stabbing pains of overpacking to haunt me! I was beyond pleasantly surprised and thrilled with the price and the space.
