Below is my review after 75 miles of hiking. For context, I've owned these boots for a few months, and all of my hiking was done in the San Tan mountains of Arizona. The trails there are a mixture of hard-packed dirt, rocky sections, sand, and steep rocky inclines with loose sand and gravel (e.g. Goldmine Mountain). Grip: 5/5 At first, looking at the photos in the listing, I wasn't sure about the grip, but the boots have done well on rocky inclines as well as sections with loose sand and gravel. Ventilation/Cooling: Neutral. I hike in Arizona where temps are normally on the warmer side. I haven't really noticed a difference in this category in the different boots I have owned. No complaints. Durability: 4/5 Overall they are holding up well. I'm not concerned about stepping on jagged/spiked rocks as the boots seem to be fairly tough, and the sides and laces are solid. There is a small section where the sole is starting to separate as shown in the photo, which seems premature, but otherwise the boots have been solid. Weight: Neutral. The boots are light and durable at the same time. No complaints. Comfort: 5/5 My goal with hiking boots is to not have to think about them when hiking, whether that means being concerned about durability, or having pinch points that poke into my feet. These boots are very comfortable, and don't hurt my feet at all. Quality: 4.5/5 Other than the small separation noted above, the boots are holding up very well after hiking many rocky trails. The tread and grip are great, and the overall construction of the materials, lace holes and laces appears to be high quality with no issues so far. The bottom line is that I have full confidence in these boots, and if this same model is available when my current boots wear out, I would buy the exact same boots again. I had good luck with other Skechers outdoor shoes so decided to try these. I have been a dedicated Merrill Moab and Keen boot customer for many years but the $ are getting high and Merrill’s quality control is not always the best. The Skecher Relment- Pelmo boots appear to be a very good value. Overall quality is very good. Seams are accurately stitched and the overall cut and finish is very good. As with other Skechers, they have plenty of room in the toe box. Metal lace eyelets are well secured. Have had them in the snow briefly and they shed water like a duck. The arch and foot pads are sewn in. Arch support is marginal, however there is enough room to comfortably add a Dr Scholl’s arch support boot liner. This will improves the fit and makes the boots warmer. The Skechers are a very good light hiking, around town, daily wear boot and will get a lot of use. ... show more

Skechers aren't Hokas. They're not meant to be. They're well made, sturdy, supportive, and offer a much greater bang for your buck. What's not to like? I've had 5 pairs.

Started out strong, but disappointed in the end. Wore these almost daily since ordering them last July. They were great out of the box and very comfortable. My first complaint is the laces. They have zero grip so unless I double knotted them, they would come untied virtually every time I would wear them. The waterproof membrane inside began to breakdown as well as the transition between the upper and the side of the tread. After a while, that walking on a cloud that I was accustomed to from Sketchers over the years degraded to the point of ordering inserts to be able to wear them.
