So I was a bit apprehensive at first. The tarp had an odd sticky filmy texture that I did not love, but I desperately needed a cover for my greenhouse before the rains ruined everything inside. This was the best option I could find in the right size, so I gave it a chance. We had a MASSIVE wind storm about a month later. Days of falling trees, power outages, and property damage. This happens here once or twice a year, but not usually to the level that there is a full week of weather advisory alerts. This was the biggest wind-related storm warning I have seen since I moved here, though I am sure it still doesn't compare to places that get hurricanes or tornadoes. Anyway, about two days into this wind storm I looked out the window and saw my greenhouse once again bare to the elements as the tarp had blown off and was flapping against its (apparently insufficient) tethers, and over a pointy wire fence. I thought it was toast, and was angry about the wasted money and my own foolishness in not tying it down more securely. I left it there, on the fence, flapping in the wind, for FOUR DAYS till the high wind warning was over. I went out to assess the damage and found to my amazement that the tarp was not only still usable but entirely unharmed. Even the grommets taking the full force of the wind were perfectly fine. No sign of tearing or stretching out. No punctures or tears in the tarp body. Honestly it still looks brand new... except that the objectionable texture is gone! Few things get BETTER having gone through a wind storm, but I really couldn't be happier with it so far. At the time of this review I have had the tarp on for about four and a half months. UPDATE: over a year in now. Once again we had a wind storm. Once again my tethers failed me and the tarp was pulled off and left to flail till the storm had passed. Now on close examination I can see a tiny amount of damage, but only at the corners where the tarp is stretched tightly over corrugated fiberglass. It seems the fiberglass is functioning like a saw and chewing at the tarp. In a over a year the damage is still so minimal I am impressed. Picture is from after the last wind storm. I will not be lowering my rating. The abuse this tarp has withstood is immense, and I've never found a tarp that would do better. I will update again if/when the tarp does die on me, but considering it seems far sturdier than it's predecessor which made it almost 10 years, I think I won't be updating any time soon.

First off I want to say that I was somewhat apprehensive and worried, as I figured that I would have to replace this once a year. I purchased two of these to act as the roof on the greenhouse I built my wife. The greenhouse was built in October 2021. It is now the end of July 2024. I have to say that I am satisfied with the quality. The greenhouse tarps seem to have many more years on them as I have gone through and poked in several spots to make sure they have not dry rotted anywhere. The installation worked great with the configuration of my particular Greenhouse. I will definitely buy these again as the need arises, it made my project so much easier. As a matter of fact this was the easiest part of building the greenhouse of course. A couple of things to note is that we have had up to 85 mph winds with some of the storms we get here. The greenhouse itself has stood strong and the tarps have not ripped nor have been punctured. These let plenty of sunlight through, but it is imperative to watch your design on the greenhouse to make sure there's air flow because it will get hot in there. These tarps do exactly what they're supposed to do, and I am very happy with the purchase.

Perfect for greenhouse! We used this to cover an 8x16 greenhouse because the storms kept tearing it apart. This tarp actually augmented the insulating capability of our greenhouse and so far has kept the flimsy thing intact. Would definitely recommend.

Wow. This is one tough tarp. I can not imagine anything tearing or wind that will remove this from our fence. The privacy screens were OK, but the zip ties broke...purchased the heavy duty ties but still the wind would win out. As we live up above our neighbors we get a lot of wind/breeze daily. Easy to put up as it took my husband and I about 10 minutes. A bit tricky (not the fault of the tarp) as we are placing them on our fence going down our slope. Neighbor not too happy but we were tired of them walking up their slope to see what we were doing, including telling us one time we were strange for sitting around our fire pit in the early morning. Great time for coffee and talking with the husband.

So far this is the best tarp I have ever bought. We will find out how well it handles the wind this weekend. Some say it is kind of expensive but remember you get what you pay for. This is an awesome thick mostly clear tarp. I am using it as a roof on my chicken run. I have spent three times or more the price on all the tarps I have bought for this project. I have even bought the canvas tarps that don't last more than a few months. I think this one will last much longer pluse it allows light to get through... Update on tarp. We have had this tarp on our chicken coop a few weeks now and it is doing great. Has withstood wind gust over 70 mph and this week had 4 inches of snow on it and no issues. Best tarp I have found yet.
