Updated Review: After using this light about three weeks, It seemed to need recharging sooner than I expected. As noted below, another reviewer had thought this might be a problem. So I kept track of how many hours it worked between charges by using the remote's auto shut off feature, for 2-hour periods. Results: Using the "warm" light setting, at full brightness, the unit stayed lit for five and one-half 2-hour periods, or approximately 11 hours total. I had intended to use the light in a room I work in almost every evening, but at this rate would need to recharge it every 4 - 5 days, which isn't workable for me. I now plan to look for a ceiling mounted LED spot light that can be hard wired. During the testing, I also noticed the unit discharges somewhat even when it's turned off, which most likely increases the frequency of need recharges. Reducing from four to three stars. Likes: (a) being rechargeable means there is no line cord to run behind or beside the picture to plug into a wall socket; (b) because the light does need to be recharged, it's important it attaches magnetically to the wall bracket, to be easily removable to get charged; (c) it has both color temperature and brightness controls; (d) remote control with a timer for auto shut off; this turns out to be useful because it's battery operated and could be easily be left on unintentionally; (d) it's hefty and solid feeling, but the magnet is strong as long as the lamp is seated correctly in the bracket; (e) the bracket is somewhat bendable if you want to change the angle of light distribution slightly. I am concerned a little by one review that found a full charge didn't seem to last very long. This item replaces a picture spot light that was plugged in to an outlet, so I would leave it on whenever I was in the room, and also used it as a kind of night light (also on a timer). Now I have to be more mindful of how long I have it on, which seems to limit my potential enjoyment of the light. On the other hand, I like being able to adjust the brightness depending upon the ambient light conditions of the room. It's also nice to have three choices of the "color" of the light, to see which temperature works best with the piece of art being illuminated. But, once you've found the best light, there isn't a need to change it thereafter. ... show more

Hopefully this light will last a long time. Placed in my hallway on my gallery wall. Everyone stops and notices when it’s lit up. Wish the light could be rotated to one’s desire. That would be nice!
