I'm gathering the supplies to install drip irrigation in my vegetable garden and flowerbeds this spring, so I'm pretty new to the various components in a drip system. I have a few different brands of tubing, and this tubing is easily the softest one I have purchased. It should be nice and easy to shape it around curves, make a u-turn at the end of a garden bed, or just lay straight, even if it hasn't been sitting out in the sun. The tubing diameter is exactly 1/4", so it should fit any emitters or other parts, as long as it's not too soft to push them into the tubing. It's February and 18 degrees right now, so I'll update my review after I start putting my system together in May or June. In the meantime, happy growing everyone! ... show more

This year I am expanding the garden by 8 beds. Watering takes so much time and can be hard once plants get big because you want to avoid wetting the leaves. I am happy to say I'm installing drip irrigation to help control water flow this year. This tubing is perfect for the beds. I can't wait to get it up and running. I needed some more tubing for a garden project and this was perfect. Came rolled up ready to go. Fit my barbs I was using perfectly. I did dip the ends into warm water to loosen it up some and they slipped right on. Fits perfectly now after they cooled and it's a tight fit. It's perfect inexpensive tubing. ... show more

This hose works well between the mainline hose and the sprinkler head. You can run several heads in a row with this hose, however the more you add the lower the pressure and flow of water. This is thin 1/4 inch hose, the kind you supply water to drip irrigation heads with. I'm not sure how long of a run you can do with this type of hose though. I wouldn't push it too far. ... show more

This tubing fits very tightly on the typical emitters barbs that I have on hand. See pictures. It would be a little easier to use if it was just a little stiffer, so it could be pushed over these bards. It is NOT the really thin tubing that is like trying to push a rope when trying to fit over barbs, so not that type of cheap of a flimsy tubing my any means. The tubing elastic properties allow the tubing to fit over the barb connections without any sign/risk of splitting. The barbs with compression locks are slightly smaller than the other 1/4 barbs and is easy to insert into this tubing. The compression lock does NOT allow the tubing to be removed until the lock is removed. This tubing would be a perfect match for those. ... show more

    • Easy to use flexible distribution tubing
This distribution tubing seems to be of the 1/4" type and for those purposes it works well for me. Compared to some other tubes I've used, this one is a lot more flexible, malleable, and softer. It makes it easier to cut and put holes into for the dripping barbs. I think that the long term durable is not very known, as you never know over time how these things actually hold up and/or spring a leak. ... show more

    • great tubing for fish tanks and drip irrigation systems
so far i have tested about 10ft of this tubing on fish tank lines and replacing a drip irrigation setup's main lines. it has worked great and does the job and is malluble. it comes rolled up nice with no kinks. i highly recommend this product.
