It's back to freezing water. Great for to weeks. I wish there was.mpre.imfo. Usted before we hooked this up.to.the pool. It is going to be a pain to remove and return! Edited review— We live in Ohio and have been freezing for most summers in our 10x16 pool.But look at us now— it is May and 4 days after running this heater the pool is 84 degrees. For reference, it has been in the 50’s at night. When we first hooked this up, we totally felt defeated. We weren’t feeling much change,the water coming out was cold. I waste her videos, we read every mini pool heat pump review to get some tips. And we are officially using our pool on days in the 70’s and 80’s… Even though the nights have been cold. The pool continued to warm up. Some tips—give it a few days if you’re in a colder state like us! —Our pump may be a little powerful for this heater. The water is being pushed out too fast for it to heat. So we changed the flow rate a few times on the coolers days. We have the sand pump and I think the regular cheap pump that came with the pool may have helped the water heater work a lot faster. — At night when the temps dropped, we turned it off and always make sure to put the solar cover on it. So for now, we have a changed review form one star after 24 hours to 5 stars after 5 days! So far we are happy and hopeful the pool will be bearable this summer. ... show more

    • 5 Hours running, frozen over unit
Just hooked up this unit today due to unusually cold weather here in Northeast PA. Purchased it 3 months ago so returning is unfortunately unavailable. Made sure everything is plumbed correctly, our pump is 1000 gph or whatever so should work, outside temp was 82 today. Turned heater and pump on, had running for about 5 hours and the entire pump is covered in frost, so had to turn it off so we don't damage it anymore, but I don't even know where to begin with this thing?!?! Needless to say, certainly not the experience we were expecting after dropping over $800 on something! ... show more

So far the water coming out of it is not warm at all. Maybe it’s deceive. Waiting on the company to respond to us.
