The 16' x 20' silver and black tarp I bought is a success so far. It is water proof and heavy duty. I bought it oversize to cover my Zero Turn 26hp Riding Mower with 60" cut and I tuck the excess under the perimeter. This keeps the wind from blowing it off and if I tuck it right it will keep the chipmunks and mice from getting under it and setting up shop in the mower over winter. Believe it or not last spring when I uncovered the mower and started it for the first time, a mouse flew out the exhaust pipe followed by about a dozen acorns. These tarps are great super durable and water proof I use them all the time to cover my cars that I don’t have room for and they always hold up and do well I highly recommend them

I have used a tarp like this as a cheap carport for years, supported by bungees attached to the trees around the driveway. Typically, I put it up at the start of the rainy season and over time a few grommets break free in high winds, but I have never needed to replace them more than yearly. Perhaps it was the atmospheric rivers and higher than normal winds this year, but I put this one up late this year: in mid February, and by the middle of March, the thing was barely limping along and pretty useless by the beginning of April. ... show more
