All dinnerware is sturdy (and a bit heavy in weight), but worth it. The set is so nice, we keep it visible at all times rather than stow it away in some cabinet where it would remain unseen. BEAUTIFUL - WE LOVE THIS SET! We bought 3 sets of the modern black & brown! I would buy another set if they still offered that color. We've had them for a year now - no chips, no breakage. The dual glaze actually has a 3rd bluish color stripe where the glossy brown and mat black glazes overlap which makes them beautiful, stylish and modern. My parents are retired well-known ceramicists (potters) so sadly no more studio, but these dishes are a wonderful replacement for my handmade dishes and I get many compliments. PLEASE BRING BACK THE BROWN AND BLACK SET! Thank you :)

After I used these plates for a week,I give some reviews now, because I want to give the most realistic evaluation. I was very excited when I received the plates,which are modern and clean looking, the color is modern yellow with bling golden edge. These are quality products. This set would make a wonderful gift for someone or just a way to brighten up your own meals. I can’t believe I’ve become the person excited about a dinnerware set! The quality is EXCELLENT and can hold a lot of food. These are microwave safe and dishwasher safe. I would suggest these.

This Dinnerware has been so very pleasurable to use. It's steady, color has the neutral to blend with whatever decorum and the cups, bowls and plates the perfect size for portions. O did I mention easy clean all the time. You will love it too. BUY IT!

We bought two sets for an eight place setting. The day we received them I ran everything through the dishwasher. Straight out of the dishwasher some of the mugs had lost some glaze around the handle joints. Today I was heating some vegetables in the microwave and a dinner plate broke. These were stated to be dishwasher and microwave safe, I'm not believing it. The ceramic finish also has a lot of bumps and pits, the finish quality is poor in my opinion. These dishes also get blistering hot in the microwave very quickly. Be sure to use pot holder's when removing them. After today I will no longer be using them in the microwave. I certainly would not purchase again. In fact, I plan on buying our next set from a brick and mortar walk in business so I can examine what I am buying.
