From the get go I was impressed with this product. It was packaged well in a box that was snug to keep it from rattling around. Assembly time took roughly 10-15 minutes. I was surprised by this because it was in such a compact box, I thought I'd have to do way more with it before it could be used. The compactness is actually great for storing purposes because it won't take up a lot of space in my shed. The overall piece is super lightweight and easy to maneuver or carry somewhere. I know it's new, but it looks really nice. My family is on the talker side, so being able to easily adjust the height was important. It was incredibly easy to figure out and do. We've used the dethatcher once and it did a good job working our really bumpy lawn. I'm looking forward to seeing if, with continued use, it helps even out the bumps in the lawn with the scarifier side of this. Overall very happy with this purchase as it held up well to our bumpy, tough yard and look forward to getting lots of use out of it in the coming months. I purchased this because it was a good sale price over the Christmas and was a larger size than my old 12 inch machine. It assembled pretty easily and it looks nice. It works well. I gave it four stars as my biggest beef is that I have tried on numerous times to contact the company about getting spare blades, but all of their contact information seems to be bogus. It would be nice to have an extra rake blade as these are the things that tend to wear early for most of these types of devices. ... show more

Very pleased with this purchase, great value, performance exceeded expectations! 16-Inch 15.5 Amp 2-in-1 Electric Dethatcher and Scarifier with 14.5-Gallon Removable Thatch Collection Bag, Lawn Dethatcher with 5-Position Depth Adjustment, Quick-Fold, Easy assembly, very user friendly, and performs well. Lightweight but powerful, suggest start at the highest setting for both dethatching and scarafier… I first mowed lawn at lowest setting on lawn mower and used de thatcher on #2 setting… like others have said the catch bag fills quick, and needed to empty every 3-4 passes… but I do not find this to be a big issue, as it’s very easy to remove and empty catch bag. I dumped half the dethatch material in my compost pile and the rest in my yard green waste bin, which I kept close by… after dethatching I made one pass over my lawn with the scarier at the highest setting in preparation for re-seeding my lawn this spring! Handle folds up to reduce space and stores easy… I would recommend this product to a friend. ... show more
