  • Bad instructions
Instructions says to keep an eye on the water level. But that's it. I had no idea how much to add. I wound up hard boiling my conures children. Thanks. Once I figure it out, I'm sure it will be fine. Tried surfing the web, everyone says the same. Little to no Instructions.

  • Would not buy again
Worked like a treat for one single round of hatching. A few days later when we were ready to put in another round the egg turning mechanism stopped working. We still did the batch and just turned them by hand. The humidity dissolves back into water within the components of the incubator itself and eventually ruins it. You can see rust and rust water in the pictures attached when I took it apart. ... show more

  • Doesn't take up much space!
I ordered this for a class of 2nd graders. A man in my area raises chickens and sells eggs. He gives fertilized eggs to folks who want to hatch them in an incubator and returns the chicks after they hatch to him. It is a win-win situation. This is a sturdy plastic incubator, easy to use and clean. The AC cord and plug are plenty long which I appreciated. I received it close to the end of the school year and although we started the process the chicks did not hatch before school ended. The kids were able to see the process through the 360-degree clear plastic and watch how the eggs turned and the warm air circulated. The built-in egg candle is great and the kids were able to learn how to use it and view the embryo developing inside the egg long before it hatches. When the year ended I left the incubator with the chicken man and he said 4 eggs didn't hatch. He felt that the humidity control was adequate and although he wouldn't call this a professional way to hatch eggs it does a decent job for classroom use. I will give it another try this coming school year when it starts in September. I will update with pictures and videos in the near future. ... show more

  • 16 Eggs?!?
I don't know what kind of eggs in the quantity of 16 would fit in here, def not my chickens that's for sure! I was able to fit at most 10 eggs and unfortunately I lost all 10 my first time! The second time around I tried 6 eggs and they all hatched! I would not recommend this for beginners .

  • Easy to use
I use thus incubator to hatch chickens here on the farm. This incubator works wonderfully and is easy to use. I have successfully hatched multiple peeps in this incubator. I really like the whole design. It has a lot of really nice functions, like a built in candler so you can check on the progress of your eggs. It automatically rotates my eggs and humidty/temperature control so you can achieve the perfect environment for your eggs. I also really like how well you can see in the incubator. ... show more

  • 16? Maybe if they're quail eggs...
This is still a good incubator. It works fine, keeps things hydrated, and turns the eggs slowly. The light for candling is on the low side - it just won't do for brown eggs, but it's on the top of the unit, so you can't really use it for quickly candling an egg and keeping it others warm and turned. 12 medium-large eggs are all that will fit in here. If you're handling specialty small birds, it might hold more. Overall, a good unit for the price. ... show more

  • Hatched!!
My hubby's best friend's father gave us chicken eggs, as I've always wanted chickens. I was SO excited!! I immediately brought this out, and gave it a shot. Now, a few weeks later, we have 9 healthy chicks!! This was super easy to use, and it really worked!!

  • Pretty good, better than others
Made from easily washable plastics, this incubator is small enough to fit just about anywhere and the included power cable is long enough as well. As with other incubators, this has an automatic turning feature so that your eggs don't stay in the same position for too long. Another huge plus is the clear top so that you are able to watch your eggs with out disturbing the eggs. A pretty good product ... show more
