I wear a 13AA shoe so it's tough to find boots that don't rattle around on my feet. These fit snugly across the foot with plenty of toe room. Compared to my last pair of comparable Vasques from 15 years and two resoles ago, the leather and fabrics are thinner and the boot overall is lighter (which is good), but it feels less well made. Waterproofing seems to be holding up fine for the moment. Color and price were within my search parameters. Good value if it's on sale. We'll see how well they last.

Great pair of hiking boots! My 3rd pair. Hike in very rugged/rocky terrain and the boots provide great support and hold up as long or longer than any other brand I’ve ever bought.

I had a pair of Vasque approach shoes years ago who's outsole delaminated absurdly fast, and I thought I would never come back to this brand. But I really liked the look of these boots, and I only do waterproof hikers. They are gusseted up high enough for me to wade into a creek, and seemed to offer great ankle support. So, ordered my size and I've been throwing everything at them for the last few weeks. They definitely didn't take much breaking in, and are both warm and comfortable here in the mountains in the fall. They've passed the waterproof test, and I like they have a lot of open grommets, so putting them on and taking them off is a breeze, even if lacing takes a bit longer. The toe cap is more than sufficient and protective, and this time around the sole seems well mounted and secure. But the one thing that really, really impressed me was my last hike. Sunrise hike to a fire tower atop the mountain along the parkway. And those metal stairs were soaked, and absolute gale force winds that day. Everyone with me felt like they were about to slide off, didn't make it past the second lining. I felt glued to the deck. Whatever rubber this is and the lug pattern is impressively secure on slick surfaces! I know it's a niche case, but I definitely am happy to have that confidence and security regardless of the ground conditions.
