This carburetor was the perfect replacement for my cub cadet lawn tractor. I was able to remove the old one and install the new one in about 30 minutes time and it runs very well. I have had this car installed for almost 6 months and it has worked flawlessly. The on off valve that was included in the kit was a nice touch, but it unfortunately leaked fuel so I had to And install another fitting to bypass the area where I had placed the shut off valve. The price point is low and I cannot remove any stars because of the bonus shut off valve not working. I would buy this again if needed and would recommend this carburetor to someone else whose small engine is not running as it should . ... show more

I do a lot of small engine work, and rely on zon for parts. With carburetors, it can bve hit or miss with reliability and even install. Sometimes you don't get what you think you are getting and a carb has to be modified for whatever reason. In this case, there were no install issues, and engine started quickly and ran well. Now I just have to see how long it will last. You have to consider fuel maintenance with any small engine carburetor. ... show more

I purchased the kit to do a complete tune up. The first thing I did was replace the spark plugs. I tried to start but it would not run. I removed the plugs and checked for spark. Neither of the 2 spark plugs would fire. I then inspected them. 1of the plugs had a very large gap. I inspected a the tip that should fire was much shorter then normal. There was no way to gap it correctly. I then tested with an ohm meter . Both tested at 1000 ohms and should be between 4 and 5 thousand. I then purchased a set of correct plugs and installed. It started in less than 2 seconds. I then decided since the plugs were manufactured as they could never work, I would not install any of the other items in the kit. I compared the parts to the oem parts and just by looking at them I knew I would be better off to just clean the carburetor and not replace the fuel pump. My lawn tractor now runs like new. I am just glad I installed the plugs first and tested. If I would have replaced all of the parts in the kit and when it would not start , I would have had to spend hours trying to get it to run with no success. I have a cub cadet zt1 54 with the 7000 engine. Ots less than a year old and was stalling out after 20 min of mowing. All the research I did said the carb needed to be rebuilt and I didn't want to wait 6 weeks for the warranty service to fix things so this was a nice cheap solution.
