Not sure where all the positive reviews come from. Setup instructions are almost nonexistent. I had to go to an unboxing video on YouTube to figure it out. After setting it up as an A Frame, I found it to be wobbly. Also be careful of the steps when you’re collapsing the ladder. They have a warning about this. Anyway, it was difficult to extend the A frame to its full height and even more difficult to get it back down to its storage height. This is an unstable and potentially dangerous ladder. I bought another brand first and had a very bad experience with it. Still needed a telescoping A Frame ladder. I design security systems for a living and now and again I need to look above a suspended ceiling to check for clearance, obstructions, and airflow (plenum, non-plenum space determination). This is truly stable, and it fits in a standard car trunk. I drive a Toyota Corolla and there's plenty of extra room. It's heavier than you'd think, but the wheels help. The instructions are a bit lacking as far as how to use it at partial extension (be very careful partially extended on any of these telescoping ladders) but this one is infinitely safer than the other brand I tried. You do have to install the wheels and stabilizer, and you do have to remove a couple of thin rivets that are holding the plastic feet in place for shipping. It folds well, and it is ANSI rated so you can use it on most job sites. ... show more

Works fine but pretty clunky operation and bends too much plus it’s very heavy. I leave this in my van for times where I am desperate. For most people the standard light telescoping ladder would be better.

I have another SINMEIRUN ladder that's fantastic so I had strong hopes for this one. While lighter and smaller than my little giant, this thing is a bear to put up and down comparatively. I'm a big strong capable and technical person and don't see how smaller individuals would fair any better. It jams and sticks constantly when raising and lowering. Also the release handle for the center hinge is in too easy a location for something to catch on it. Literally almost released it accidentally with a driver hanging on my tool belt just today. It's sturdy enough once up but would wait for a design update before buying ... show more

    • Now worth the headache.
It’s does not come with any of the tools needed to assemble. On top of that the directions give no guidance. I am very good with tools, and have tons of hex keys and nothing works to assemble the support bar. Very very frustrating experience.

This is an excellent option for those who need to get to 12’ heights, without having an area to store it. It retracts nicely so that it fits in a closet. I only plan to use it as a stepladder, so I won’t comment on it as an extension ladder. Read the warnings carefully- you don’t want your hands or fingers inside the side rails as you retract it. I would have given this 5 stars, except for the steps. They are narrow and not comfortable under foot. So, when I use it, I wear my work boots for comfort and stability. ... show more
