Decent compact step ladder. The big win here is how compact the thing is. It is also decently light weight and feels like it is durable (time will tell). It does not move as smoothly as I would like and it takes more work to collapse than my other step ladder, but those are small problems. For the right jobs this will come in quite handy - and I do like the hand hold at the top.

I already have a collapsing ladder somewhat like this ladder. But my existing ladder extends to 12’ tall (more than I often need and makes the unit heavier as well). In addition, my existing ladder doesn’t have the option for hooks at top. These hooks help this ladder stay in place better, and are also perfect for holding into the cross beam of a shade structure as I add panels to the top of it. Collectively, the length of this ladder and those hooks at the top make this a perfect mix of size, functionality and weight. One note: When you get the ladder, the hooks aren’t attached and the instructions don’t mention them. 🤦♂️ To install the hooks on the top rung of the ladder all you do is lift off the covers for the top rung, exposing receivers for the hooks. They fit snugly but will lift just using grip strength, no tools needed. You then slide the lock button for the top rung inward, push in the hook on that side, let go of the button and turn the hook until it locks. Once it locks, you can turn the hook either perpendicular for use or parallel to the top step for storage. If you want, you can also remove the hooks and recover the holes (save the covers). See my photos for more of what I mean. I’m a bit less than 200 pounds and this ladder, apparently rated for 300 pounds (which I believe), had no issue handling me. I had confidence in the ladder and myself as I climbed it. So, given the good quality, size, hooks, and even the strap that keeps it all together closed, this is a great value for the price.

This ladder is a great solution to keep in your home or apartment. It gets very compact when folded, and will help you reach 'normal height' ceilings. I'm able to reach my lighbulbs in my 8ft tall ceiling. I'm heavy and still felt very stable when on the top rung. The handle is quite useful to get an additional stability point. It takes some guessing to best fold it, but once you get the hang of it, it's quite easy to operate.
