  • Nice unit

  • This thing is incredible. Cools super fast and stays quiet once the room is down to temp.
I love that this pumps the hot air out while drawing fresh air from outside, it makes it just that much more efficient when drawing from the shaded side of your house and cools a room much quicker, too. This is easily able to cool my whole house if we keep it all shut and the build is rock solid. The water drain is super easy to use and once it's cooled your house down, it doesn't fill up very quick, which is nice. Remote functions flawlessly and the controls are really easy to use. Overall, I can't come up with a single complaint with this A/C unit, it just works great and stays out of the way sound wise. Great product overall. ... show more

  • BEAUTIFUL UNIT OVERLOADED MY INADEQUATE ELECTRICAL PANEL☹️
Last June I relocated from my primary home in NJ to a family vacation cabin in the Adirondacks. We have suffered thru many hot and humid spells without the use of air conditioning. If you ever complained you felt hot during the day, Mom/ Gramma would say go down to the lake for a swim! Years later, I said, you’ll be fine, go get another fan, the electric can’t handle an air conditioner! Well, last summer on numerous days of hot and humid days of trying to get work done inside the cabin and just becoming overwhelmed from the heat I decided I was going to see how air conditioning would work out this year. I installed an 8000 btu energy efficient unit in a window of my kitchen/dining area that was upgraded with outlets in 1986. It worked fine when tested out for 2 hours in only 68 degree weather! 😂 The electrical panel here was given a moderate upgrade in 2010. There are areas of the cabin that have wiring from at least the early 1900’s and then some from around 1963 when my family made our first upgrades. The window I was wanting to place this in has outlets wired from the early 1900’s 😱 I didn’t think this thru when I ordered this unit! I also didn’t completely think thru how to fit this into the old school French door style windows and didn’t measure their height! The panels aren’t high enough or wide enough to hold the exhaust tubes. The windows open from the center out and leave a gap! I was very stoked about all the bells and whistles this unit was going to provide for cooling off my upstairs open loft style area. I thought it was going to be an energy efficient way to achieve cooling the room while still having the option to open the other half of the window when I didn’t need to use it. Unfortunately, unless pretty much nothing else electrical on that fuse line is being used, the breaker gets tripped when the condenser (?) kicks on. I do have a larger sized bedroom downstairs that has the most recent electrical upgrades in it. It only has one small window, is hot during the summer so I have never slept there, it was my Mom’s room. I’ve ordered a power strip with surge protection that should avoid tripping the breaker. There is enough space to put this portable unit there beside the bed and reach the window. I believe this will work out well. I will be able to shut down the kitchen air conditioner which is on the same line and turn this one on and stay cool enough in my living area before heading to bed to watch tv and relax at the end of the day! I’ll just have to make the adjustment to sleeping downstairs much earlier on the hot days than I’m used to doing when it gets too cold to stay upstairs. The short test drive showed me it was going to be as quiet as it said it would be which was another reason I wanted to get it for👍👍 Having a nice low hum in the background is exactly what works to help me sleep better. I am getting some changes done in the fall that should include upgrades to electrical work and new windows. Hopefully it will include the wiring upstairs but it will definitely include upgrades on the electrical panel that will provide better capability for things to be dispersed differently. I would love to be able to keep this upstairs where I can this sturdy, heavy unit around on one floor rather than lugging it up and down! Oh yes! I know California has strict regulations on environmental regulations and I read this unit is on their OK list! So I recommend it as well. ... show more

  • Good investment for a home without central air.
This is a really good machine. I like how it’s easy to use and doesn’t take very long to set up and get it working. My daughter has one in her bedroom at college and says it actually works on the entire upstairs area nicely. (Small house.). We have one in our living room. The vent fits nicely in the window and is adjustable. It can fit vertically or horizontally. We do have a bit of an issue with the crank style horizontal windows, but found some adapter stuff at the local home hardware store. It’s not super loud, but there is some noise. Nothing that bothered us. It says it can cool 800 sf. We haven’t pushed that, but it does work where we need it for sure. It doesn’t appear to eat a ton of energy, but we live way up north and only use it a few days out of the year. I love that it can be stored easily in a closet and rolled to any room with a window. It does keep the area I need cooled, cool. I like it way better than the huge window units that take over the whole window. This doesn’t require all the window space and doesn’t look ugly. Easy instructions, easy to use. Good quality and well made. A good design. ... show more

  • Worth the money!
I’m beyond impressed with this 16,000 BTU portable AC unit. It cools my large living room (about 750 sq. ft.) incredibly fast and maintains a consistent, comfortable temperature. The dual hose setup really makes a difference in efficiency compared to single-hose units I’ve used in the past. Setup was simple—everything I needed was in the box, including a sturdy window kit. The remote control is super handy, and the digital display is clear and easy to read. I especially love the quiet sleep mode—it’s surprisingly quiet for such a powerful unit (about as loud as a box fan), so it doesn’t disrupt sleep or conversation. The dehumidifier feature is a huge bonus during humid Michigan summers, and it doesn’t require constant emptying thanks to the auto-evaporation system. Overall, this AC is worth every penny. Great design, great performance, and a noticeable difference in my home’s comfort. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Powerful AC
I got this to replace a less efficient portable air conditioner in our kitchen. This air conditioner is much shorter and more compact than our old one. It was easy to install. We have casement windows and in the past have had to add foam core to the end to fit the window. But this was easy to adjust and fit perfectly. I also appreciate that the hoses stay in the connector well. In the past, we have had inverter ACs that don’t connect well and keep falling out. I like that this is easy and you just insert and twist. I also love that it is an inverter unit because those are so much more efficient. It cooled the room quickly on a moderately hot day. I didn’t find it particularly loud - but I don’t really need a super quiet unit in the bedroom. ... show more

  • Cool!
Easy enough to set up, keeps the whole living area a comfortable temperature while we wait for our landlord to fix the central air. We have used a few of these in the past, and this was by far the easiest one to set up, plus it operates fairly quietly. We really couldn't ask for much more for this unit. ... show more
