The diamond is bright and sparkly. However, I think the seller pics make it looks larger than it is. The manufacturing of the necklace is higher quality than typical. You don't get to put "solid gold" in the title and then sell gold-plated sterling, period. You could say solid gold or plated sterling, for example, because, depending on the option selected, there's a choice (and at a LARGE price difference). When dealing with precious metals, it's always good to be clear and unequivocal and to take all due care to be sure you're not misrepresenting the product in any way, shape or form - and that listing title is absolutely misleading. So. The piece. It's on the yellower side of yellow gold but by no means the worst I've seen, or the worst I've seen this week, as a matter of fact. It's not a bad color and will almost certainly mellow with time and wear. The connector is stamped 925 and nothing reacts to a magnet other than the lobster clasp, which is normal and expected because the inner spring there should not be made of sterling (or any other precious metal) for durability reasons. There's also a maker's mark on that same tag, and that's added security that the 925 stamp is real because with the maker's mark it's traceable. The stone passes thermo testing with zero issues, and shows no evidence of double refraction under very light magnification, so I'm reasonably comfortable confirming that it is lab diamond. This is a tiny, delicate piece. It would work great for a minimalist, or a younger person, or as part of a stack as a necklace with more interest than a chain but not too much going on that it can't blend in with the other stacked pieces. ... show more

Very minimalist, simple, delicate necklace - and more beautiful than expected! It sits petty high on the neck long (you can adjust with 3 different loops about 1cm each apart, but all are end up high enough to be above most dress/shirt collar lines). The white gold and diamonds are so shiny! The bar is very thin and small but the diamonds still catch the light. Instead of being gaudy like large CZs, it actually draws even more attention to how fine the little details are and how brilliant the tiny stones can get in good light. There were no measurement specs (other than that it's 14k and high quality lab diamonds) but the entire piece weighed in at about 2 grams on my kitchen scale. Not an insignificant amount of gold! I could see this costing a lot more at a physical jeweler. I had doubts ordering precious metal jewelry online but this one really exceeded expectations! This is a VERY nice piece. It's minimalist, to be true, but I think in this case it's one of those "less is more" scenarios. It's a small, white gold heart with a small diamond in the center.
