METACUCU ASIN: B0D6V7L3HB VIDEO DOORBELL / CAMERA EXTENDED USAGE BATTERY SYSTEM includes battery for Ring products, plastic slide housing, Doorbell extended length cover and USB Charger cable. No instructions or written material included with kit. The battery slides into doorbell with no issue and Doorbell works as it should with cover attached. On my Doorbell the supplied cover will not stay attached and when door is closed the cover pops off. The battery will not work for me in this application. So this does in fact work in a ring video doorbell 2, it just won't fit any covers currently made for them. But if you're OK w a small gap in the cover, it's actually pretty decent bc you're getting over twice the battery life.

Overall, I like this battery. Does make your ring doorbell look a little strange BUT the extra battery life is very useful. If doesn't charge in my ring battery charging station, but does with a direct cable plugin.

It takes a lot to get me to say wow what a clever new idea whether it’s a new product or just improving on an existing product. Some things actually are total game changers. This is definitely one of those products. Whoever thought this up is a real genius that all you had to do was put a bigger battery when I first saw the product I couldn’t believe my eyes. Because it’s just such a simple idea, but yet I would’ve never dreamed this up in 1 million years. And you were thinking a situation like this that you would just basically be doubling the battery but they went as far as making it 2 1/2 times the battery life with the battery at 14800 mah which will definitely give you such a longer battery life. It makes me happy when I see stuff like this because it seems like in the last probably five years there just hasn’t been as much creativity as there once was in consumer, electronics just more of the same each year and I’m so happy to see something improve on a product that I use every single day multiple times a day.

First of all, it was very strange yet quite welcome that I ordered this replacement battery, and they sent the whole housing unit to install it. It's listed that way in the description, so that's on me, but it was a pleasant surprise. These are easy to install--it literally takes less than 20 seconds--and when installed you have a battery that lasts easily 3-4 times as long as the standard ring doorbell battery. The convenience of not having to regularly change batteries as often makes this a five star for me.
