Installation & Initial Impressions Installing the Moiswell dehumidifier was straightforward. We mounted it securely onto the joists, a placement that not only keeps the unit out of the way but also allows for optimal airflow. The unit’s design is robust and feels like it’s built to last, which was one of the first things we noticed upon unpacking it. Once installed, we turned the unit on and monitored the humidity levels closely. At 10:30 AM, the humidity was a concerning 89%, which had been typical of our crawl space, contributing to issues like musty odors and potential mold growth. By 8 PM the same day, the Moiswell had already brought the humidity down to 64%, and by the following day at noon, it had further decreased to 59%. This unit has been just what I had hoped. First, it replaced a failed Santa Fe unit that was extremely expensive compared to my new choice! The new unit is working just as well! It is relatively quiet and efficient while controlling the humidity in our crawl space right at my set point; even in these hot and humid Oklahoma summer days. This has been a great choice and I am hoping it has a long life. I am very satisfied and glad I found this brand. Also, very timely delivery and and easy set up process too!

High quality and ductable. Used in 1200 sq ft basement. Brought humidity down from 62% to 45 % and does not run continuously to do it. Easy to use Drains very well. Unit is extremely quiet. Only complaint is Fed Ex shipping. Steel case was pretty badly dented and delivery man intentionally let the unit drop about 12 " to the concrete driveway when setting it down.

With so many dehumidifiers on the market it can be hard on deciding what brand to go with. One thing for sure was I knew I wanted a commercial dehumidifier; too many times I had friends and family tell me the number of times big box store dehumidifiers dying on them. Looking at Moiswell's XP235, big selling points to me were the unit's built-in pump, coverage area, and its advanced R32 system for energy efficiency (big plus for electric bill). When I first received my unit the first thing to do is to remove it from the box and let sit for 24hrs to let the oil in the compressor settle after shipping. After the 24hrs my initial startup did not begin so well, my unit was Dead On Arrival. I contacted Moiswell by email with video explaining my problem and with a next day response they kindly helped me out and sent out another unit, A+ service. I feel comfortable I can contact Moiswell in the future with any question or problems I may have. After receiving the new unit and having it for a few days I was satisfied by the difference in the air quality in my downstairs den, a lot dryer and no more musty smell. The XP235 is pretty heavy, thanks to the compressor's size, but it is manageable. Moiswell does offer a dehumidifier with wheels that is easily portable but the XP235 is a bit more compact and I believe is more versatile if you get a little creative. The XP235 is also compatible with a wired controller that Moiswell offers, for additional cost, which is pretty nice considering this unit is design to go into a crawl space. In the future it would be pretty cool if Moiswell came out with a WiFi adapter unit that can attach to their dehumidifiers so old and new owners can control/observe their units with an app.

Decided to encapsulate my crawlspace to fight moisture and smell issues and with that needed a dependable dehumidifier. Reading reviews on various companies I zeroed in on this Moiswell one. Easy setup and it has been running strong for a month now with no issues. Solid built so I expect years of service. Update: After a little over of a month of use two issues arose. The fan started making a loud noise on shutdown and the humidity sensor malfunctioned causing the unit to cycle every few minutes. Customer service(everything is out of China) was extremely responsive and helpful. Offered a replacement sensor or refund. I choose the refund due to the obvious issue with the fan. I would say the unit is very well built and I think I just got a bit of bad luck. If you aren’t able to work on the unit yourself you may look at more expensive units that provide the maintenance theirselves. In the end like most things it a roll of the dice truthfully.
