This might not be a professional art set, but for a child that loves to draw, color and paint, it is almost perfect. The box is very well made, the inserts that hold the pens, crayons, etc., is plastic and may not hold up forever - and things do fall out, mostly pencils, when the box is closed and moved a lot I expect - but that's a small price to pay for the joy of the child that is using it. The two pads are well made and the paper quality is good, and it is certainly worth the price paid.

Our 10 year old niece loves to draw and make art. She absolutely loved this as a birthday gift and she said it had a really nice variety of tools for her to use. She's the professional, so if she gives it a thumbs up, it must be good. And for the price, this kit is awesome. I saw an equally loaded kit at hobby lobby for nearly double the price. Don't listen to the complainers who say it should have a handle, blah blah blah. Put it in a reusable grocery bag and there you go, a handle. It's a really nice and professional looking kit.

This was a great set. It has quality products and I really like the build and hidden compartment for the crayons. The only thing I wish is the brackets were a little more sturdy along with the inside packaging but overall I would recommend.
