This part is bad. Had it installed and the battery charging light came on. I took the alternator to O'Reilly Auto part had it checked they confirmed the alternator was bad.

Great replacement high output alternator for my 2016 Silverado. This high output alternator can supply up to 150A. I had basically been over loading my original alternator by powering a 12,000 lbs wench I installed on my brush guard. I had been using the winch to help control trees when cutting them down and dragging them out of the way. My stock alternator could not keep up with the demands put on it. It basically heated up and burnt out. I dealier recommended I upgrade to the high output alternator to prevent the failure. They quoted me a OEM alternator and I was shocked at the price they gave me. It was almost 4 times the price of this part. I ordered and installed this alternator and have been using it for over a month now and it's doing a great job keeping up with the load put on it.
