Just in time. I was wondering how I was going to stay cool this year in the place I’m currently staying in. Bad air flow and no insulation on the roof. This came along when I needed it. First, it’s pretty hefty. I was not home when it was delivered so I couldn’t ask the delivery guy to bring it to my door. Still for a small person like me, I was able to pick it up and put it on a cart by myself. Once out of the box, it’s pretty easy to move around. The window panels and hose are easy to install and can fit almost any size window, even with screens on them. I really like that it has a remote, so wherever I am, I can adjust the cooling. I also had to be aware of the wattage in the place that I’m staying at. This doesn’t use a lot of wattage. For my space, this works really well. It's quieter than my air filter. More like white noise for me most of the time, or it just doesn’t bother me. The time is great. It may be hot when the evening ends but it’s still cold in the morning. Having that option makes sleep time a lifesaver. As for cooling, since my place is quite small, it works well and cools down the place faster than a fan would do. I love that the filter is washable. A big plus here! I am very happy about this product. It works well. If you are buying this for someone who can’t lift heavy things, make sure you have help to pick this up. Pricewise, it's probably average, even on the lower end. But what is the value of something because you're uncomfortable because of the heat or cold around you? To me, this is a lifesaver.

The media could not be loaded. Very happy with this portable air conditioner! It’s easy to set up and cools the room quickly. I like that it’s easy to move around, and the noise level is acceptable.

The media could not be loaded. WOW and Brrrrrr! We ordered this unit to supplement our central A/C unit and to put in our home movie theater (about 400sq. ft.) since we found that when you piled 8 adults and a TON of A/V equipment, our home A/C just wouldn't keep up with the cooling in there. The heat in Myrtle Beach can get up there during the summer months when all the "kids" come to hang out. This unit has some OUTSTANDING features that aren't really mentioned in the ad on Amazon so let me cover them here: --Portable, the typical hose/window inserts easily reconfigure if you wanted to put this in a different room. It's heavy for sure, but the wheels roll well. The hose is pretty large so make sure you leave space for that. --LED screen that TURNS OFF!!! This was a surprise and the biggest plus for our theater so you can make the unit entirely dark, even when in use. --Front fins oscillate! That was a nice touch, they move very slowly so that it doesn't feel like a weird typhoon but it does gently stir the air. --Sleep mode is nice, after you blast the artic air, you can reduce it down to sleep mode which quiets the unit...not that it's at all loud. --Remote control is backlit when pressed so you can see what you're doing --2 AAA batteries DID come with unit, even though ad said they didn't Now for the part that matters! It ranges from 61-86 degrees and at 61, it was like a MEAT LOCKER in our theater after running it for about an hour. Seriously, 10 degrees colder than the hallway. You can certainly adjust the temperature/fan at will with the easy-to-use, backlit remote or put it into auto mode for set and forget ease. The humidity control will also be nice and if the humidity is normal-to-moderate, you don't have to empty. I will likely never have to empty it since it's being used indoors but just keeping that additional bit of humidity out of the theater is good for the A/V equipment so that's a big plus, too! My only minor gripe is that the hose comes to almost the edges of the window install plates. The hose then blocks the window and the sill from sealing completely around it. It's secure enough but lets a little outside air in at the top and bottom of the plates--I plan on using some removable tape just to seal it a bit. Our windows are covered by curtains so I won't see it to be bothered by it. Making the plates an inch taller on the top and bottom would have provided enough clearance to tightly sandwich them between the window and the sill better. This is a great unit, at a fair price. It punches above its weightclass and cools the room down tremendously. Highly recommend!

This portable air conditioner does a good job cooling a large room, though it takes a little while to really bring the temperature down. It runs fairly quiet but you may find yourself turning the TV up slightly when it’s on. However it doesn't disturb you when sleeping. The biggest downside is that the air blows from the top of the unit. It has these adjusters that allow you to adjust the direction of the air flow but it is still blowing from the top. It’s also quite heavy, so moving it will take 2 people. Once you get it where you want it and out of the box the wheels will move easily across any floor unless you have carpeting or a rug. On the plus side, it was easy to assemble, way easier than a window unit. You can easily store this way in colder months , if you're not using it. It is A solid unit with a couple minor drawbacks. It performs well and of course, the smaller the room, the quicker, it will cool off.But you can cool a large bedroom or family rooon easily with the unit, just know it won't be instantaneous. It can take 30+ minutes to really cool a large room. The digital display is easy to read and the remote is easy to use. If the air blew outward instead of upward, this would be perfect. It is still a good value for the money.
