I’ve been using this 14,000 BTU portable AC in my garage and overall it cools pretty well. The air that comes out of the unit is very cold, and it definitely helps bring the temperature down in a larger space. The different modes and the remote control are also convenient and easy to use. My main complaint is the airflow direction. The dampers on top seem to push the cold air mostly upward instead of straight out. Because of that, you don’t really feel the cool air unless you’re standing right in front of the unit. In a garage setup, I wish it projected the air outward more so it could cool the space where you’re actually working. I do love that it is easy to move around, and it is very quiet. However, it is very heavy so be prepared when getting it out of the box. Overall it works well and blows very cold air, but the upward airflow design limits how much you can feel it unless you’re close to the unit.

This portable AC has been a great performer for cooling a larger room. It puts out a strong stream of cold air, and it made a noticeable difference much faster than I expected. For a portable unit, it feels pretty capable and doesn't seem like it's struggling to keep up. I also like that it gives you several modes to work with, so it can do more than just cool. The dehumidifier setting is especially nice when the air feels heavy and sticky. Pros Strong cooling power for a portable unit Works well for larger spaces Multiple useful modes including fan, dehumidifier, and sleep Remote control adds convenience Installation kit included, which makes setup easier Cons Takes up some floor space like most portable AC units Summary Overall, this feels like a solid, high-performing portable air conditioner for anyone needing extra cooling in a larger room. It cools well, has practical features, and is simple enough to get up and running without a big headache. Definitely a useful unit to have. This is a very good ac unit. It is super easy to set up and use. My ac went out in my house and this was a life saver until I could get my home unit repaired. My house is 1250 square feet and I closed the bedroom I do not use and it kept my house at 70 on a 88 degree day. It is great for the living room and is whisper quiet. I like it has casters on the bottom for moving it because it is heavy. You get three choices for cooling, fan, and dehumidifier. The dehumidifier has different settings and you can adjust cooling and fan temps plus speeds. It has three speeds and high moves a lot of air. The remote has a heat setting but the unit does not provide heat. Weird but no deal breaker at all. When you shut it off it has a count down and then everything closes and shuts off. The digital display is big and easy to read also. Overall a great unit to have in the house and it does cool very well!! 5 stars!!!

This portable air conditioner is great. Most units like this require you to empty a water tank regularly but this one feeds the moisture that’s collected from the evaporative coils to the condensing coils and uses the waste product(heat) to carry the secondary waste product(moisture) out of the space being conditioned. I like to sleep very cold, like 60° cold. My house is very energy efficient so it’s not a big deal to cool the entire house down to that temperature even though I’m in south Florida. This portable unit turns my bedroom into a fridge tho. I don’t have to cool my whole house anymore.

KAMLAM 14000 BTU Portable Air Conditioners (Cools Up to 700 Sq.Ft, 3-in-1 Cooling/Fan/Dehumidifier) is a versatile unit that handles large spaces effectively. With 14,000 BTU it cools my large basement to a comfortable level. Keep in mind portable ac doesn't cool as well as window units but it defintely can keep it at a comfortable 70 deg. The 3-in-1 modes (cooling, fan, dehumidifier) is great for the basement as it can help control the humidity as well. I tested the dehumidification and it pulled the moisture well and the included drain hose allows me to run it without worrying about emptying . The portable design with caster wheels allows me to move it around as needed and the 24hr timer, and remote control make it easy to use. The included a window installation kit with exhaust hose allows for proper venting. It can work for vertical or horizontal windows with minor tewaks. Solid value for spot-cooling or dehumidfying larger rooms without central AC.
