Well built, nicely reinforced, good balance. The silicon hand grip keeps your hand cool. If you use enough 0000 flour the pizza slides off nicely - and the excess gets to exit via the perforations so much less burnt flour taste on the crust. Fits my OONI pizza oven nicely. One note - remember to only gently hand wash and towel dry to keep the non-stick finish in good condition.

Decent quality, light weight, and easy to maneuver. Easy to clean and the handle is the perfect length to get into the oven without singing your knuckles. I am using this with an Ooni Koda 16 oven. The peel is aluminum and it does get scraped on the stone slightly with each use, but that's to be expected with the softer metal. I use this for turning and retreiving only. You will want a solid (wood) peel for launching pies into your oven.

I picked up an Ooni Karu and started making pizzas for family and friends. I purchased pre-made dough at Trader Joes or Whole Foods but then went down the YouTube rabbit hole and have started making my own dough and have never looked back. I haven't ordered a pizza in months! On Mother's Day, both my mom and my mother-in-law got Ooni pizza ovens and I ended up making over 40 pizzas for the family. I had two ovens going at both locations, everyone made their own pizza on the stone countertops, and with this peel, you can use a combination of semolina flour and regular flour to loosen the dough from the countertop and slide the peel underneath it. This peel, with its perforations, allow you to sift off the extra flour you used to get the dough of the countertop before you launch it into the oven. This is the game changer! Before, I was using wood peels loaded with semolina that would get deposited in the bottom of the oven and eventually burn but this peel eliminates this and keeps the dough pristine! You gotta get this!

In short, this is a fine pizza peal for the price. But I ended up returning it because the bottom was not deburred during manufacturing. As a result, each slot has a little lip (burr) as shown in the pictures. But since the peel is Teflon coated, the burr cannot be removed without damaging the coating. Your mileage may vary, but I make pizza on a seasoned pizza steel and am worried the burrs will scratch the seasoning when removing a pizza. For this reason alone, I gave this product 3 stars and returned it.
