I have been using these brings on my gates for a long time. They always work and have enough power for a heavy wood door. Easy install due to having self drilling screws. I have one tbag is 5 years old and it's still working as new. They provide a tool and extra pins to tighten the spring to your amount of closing power. You can see the pins in the picture that you put in different holes to control the closing speed and strength.

Decent product. Instructions could be better. The connection point is a bit big for big box grade wrought iron fencing. Would be no issue with a wood fence.

Very easy to use & the spring is strong. I have a 5 foot x 5 foot fence with a wheel on each side. The gate went flying to close - strong. Then I reduced the tension. Solid product. 1st time using this or any spring … simple.

I have noticed the gate not shutting as well after a while, and on inspection noticed the tension pins I put in (following instructions to make the spring tension tighter to close harder) were gone and nowhere to be found. Seem to have shot out of it and disappeared into the yard. Appreciate that it came with a few extra pins but I’m down to 1 extra left , so if they go again, I can only fix it once more
