This AC is great. Yes it’s kind of loud when the AC kicks on, but the cooling power is strong, and it’s not so loud that we can’t hear each other talking. We have a one bedroom apartment and this unit cools the entire apartment down, with it pointed to blow down our one hallway. The only issue we’ve had with it at all so far is that the window slide was wayyy too long for our window, which is an average sized window, so we had to snap the plastic slider in order to get it to fit correctly. Other than that, it runs exactly as it should, it’s small, fits neatly next to our tv stand without taking up tons of space, the remote works great, and I’m so cozy now in our apartment instead of melting all day. I truly could not be happier with how well this AC cools the place! And I’m so grateful that it hasn’t required any draining of condensation yet.

The media could not be loaded. Positive: it cools very effectively. I am returning because it does not have a continuous fan mode. It shuts off once it reaches its temperature, but very noisily turns itself back on. This is problematic for sleeping, and it says it has a sleep mode but when moving through the mode options, it skips sleep mode and I cannot select it. The manual does not offer instruction how to put into sleep mode either. If this would not bother you, then it’s probably fine for you and cools great. For this price, it’s just shocking it doesn’t have a continuous fan mode. It also does a weird struggle when coming back on — video attached.

I have had the 14,000 btu for less than 6 months. Last week it made a very loud grinding noise and stopped working before I could turn it off. Upon inspection, I found that a fan had ripped itself apart. I found all the pieces when took the exaust duct off. After contacting customer service, they told me they would replace it. A few days later I get an email saying that the 14,000 btu is no longer available, would I accept a 12,000 btu instead. Reluctantly I said ok. Please send it soon, its hot. A few days later, I get another email saying the 12,000 btu is not available, would I accept a 10,000 btu. This is when I lost it. Told them I would not accept this and please give me a refund so I can order one on my own. Btw both the 14,000 and 12,000 btu units are still available on Amazon to order. I don't understand what the point is. Why have a warranty when you can't fix or replace what I bought. And why make me feel like I'm getting scammed because your product failed??? Im on week 2 of waiting to get some sort of resolution. So if you order from this company, good luck, hopefully you have a better experience than I did.

I need my portable AC to cool a very deep room, and the one I had before this Lifemaster blew the air upwards - a very common design that made my low ceiling cold and left me hot at the far end of the room. There are a number of portable AC's with front-facing fans, but the LifeMaster was the only one with 14k BTUs, and it makes the difference. I've never been able to chill the room properly before now. My only regret was that when I first saw the unit it was on sale for ~$70 off. It seemed too good to be true, so I sat on it a night, and the next day, the sale was over. :( The unit is absolutely worth it at full price, but if it's on sale, don't wait.

This unit arrived well packed. The parts all seemed of high quality. I agree with others that the window adaptor was too big for my window but I made it work. I would recommend and I would purchase again.
