When this product arrived the box was HEAVILY damaged. The box was crushed on one side and there were heavy amounts of packaging tape around the crushed side of the box, and around the bottom of the box. We brought the box inside and it sat for about 2 weeks before I was able to open it up. Upon opening the box I noticed the unit was damaged. One of the panels on the top of the unit had popped loose and broke of the the tabs snapping it into place. I was able to get the unit out and inspect for further damage and did not find any. It also came with a installation kit for the window/ venting tube. This "kit" came with panels for the window and foam for the window as well. The wingnut was missing, with attaches that panels together. I will have to find my own sliding butterfly bolt in order to install these panels. I looked extensively for any signs of small packaging within the box to make sure nothing was missed. I found a single AAA battery that was stuck to all the tape on the bottom of the box. The remote was in an individual wrapping. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries. There was no other packaging for any small products IE batteries, wingnuts, etc. within the box. I haven't even been able to test to make sure that the unit works properly due to not having all the components within the box. I will change to a 2 star if the unit works but I would be prepared to not have all of the components within the box itself if you purchase this unit. ... show more

This is the best portable AC I have ever bought! To save us some money, we decided to start doing a portable in the bedrooms and running the big ac to only 70. My bed room is a master room and reaches 75 - 80 during the day. I start cooling down the room 2 hours before bed and when I go to sleep, my room is 60 degrees when the rest of the upstairs will be 70 ish! It sounds like white noise so for me the noise doesn’t bug me. I just slid it out of the box for an easy install it! The days of 80% Humidity doesn’t affect us in this room! The cooling ability is amazing. It comes with a remote and you can kill the lights completely on it. I’ve had it since April and it’s July now. Life span seems great! Why did you pick this product vs others?: Generally works well, but doesn't cool as much space as I'd hoped or that was advertised, to be honest. That may be due in part to the awkward layout of my first floor, but 14,000 btus should keep this 750+ sq ft apartment cool. Two out of five during a heatwave might be all I can hope for. I'm relieved I have it! I've had central air for decades so this is a new experience & I'm cooling a hundred year old house. If my space was one 750+ sq ft room, it might be fine. ... show more

we live in a camper full time and we don't have a rooftop so we bought this think its GREAT! it kepps everything cool i will say when its 102 outside (we live in North Carolina) it does struggle but other then that i would buy it again. its not loud at all super easy to install everything great value for the money and the durability so far have been great we run it pretty much 24/7 and have no had a issue with it. the size isn't much of a issue it is a little bulky but what can you expect from a ac ... show more

I'm disgusted with this ac. I have 2 other portable acs in upstairs bedroom for past few years that work great. I purchased this in March so return is not applicable. I did not use til few days ago Of course test try in March was great. This barely cool s 700 sq ft room..barely. and the condensation comming out of it is horrific. I use a huge soup pot dumping it 3 to 4x a day.it has over flowed onto floor and rug in living room If you are thinking of purchasing this. Think again..I have tried all the solutions its suggested and can't get thru on the 800 number. Has done more damage than it's worth and the room still isn't cool..not cold mind you. Cool. Below is a pic of what a mobile impaired disabled person has to empty during an 8 hour use of this ac. Please think before you purchase ... show more
