I ordered the “4PCS Angle Grinder Wood Carving Disc Set for 4” or 4 1/2" Attachment, Stump Tool Grinder Disc Wheel Attachments for Woodworking, Wood Shaping Carving Disc for Wood Cutting” to review and to use for two main objectives. First, I have some small, sharp stumps sticking up out of the ground from some stubborn youpon bushes I was trying to remove. These discs helped smooth the tops so my dogs don’t cut their feet when running the fence while I continue to try to remove them. Secondly, I have an oak stump that is about 24-36 inches in diameter that I would like to level and turn into a seat or bench. These discs will be great for rough cutting to a general level surface and then I can finish them with some flap discs. Unfortunately, my cheap angle grinder broke and I’m waiting to fix or replace it. I really like the variety that these discs provide. I also like the aggressiveness of each disc. While these discs may not match up to some of the higher-end discs that cost a fortune, they make a great beginner set to try out skills and interest level before investing a large amount of money. 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️– Average to Above Average – At least what you would expect based on the Product Page. Maybe a bit more. A solid product. Recommended. They feel cheap but lasted way longer than I thought they would. They got the job done In a my scrappy ryobi angle grinder even. I used them to rough shape a custom oak kitchen table base. If you're doing a few projects on a budget these worked pretty dang well.

This is a real nice set of wood shapers for wood carving or shaping in the rough. I like that you get a different selection of cuts and depths as well as a side cutting tool that will make real nice square groves. These slide right on to a standard angle grinder and tighten down, I have both a harbor freight and a porter cable brand and these fit both perfect even with the guard in place. These will work great for trimming or shaping wood in places that it can't be cut but need minor trimming. I also think this would be a cheap way for some folks to try their hand at wood carving on stumps and logs. I can't stress this enough!!! these will really bite into the wood and you need to do some trial and error with these on scrap before you put them to work, secondly you need gloves and eye protection these sling wood bits like crazy so using them inside I would not recommend. The gloves are an absolute if these thing kick out and they will till you've used them a few times and believe me you don't want this digging into you hide you won't have much left after one mistake, so caution is a key word. With all this said these things are truly awesome they carve thru the wood really really quick and effortlessly and but again my grinder turns some serious R.P.ms so that is to be expected. The take away from my review is; these are good wood carvers/shapers for a angled grinder, they move a lot of wood quickly but, it is a rough cut only and will certainly require sanding after use. I would recommend these for purchase and will purchase again in the future, I like the multiple choices in shapes for different uses and applications. ... show more
