The grinding/carving plates that come with this are total cr*p... could barely even remove material off cypress which is very soft. Flap discs are good, but those are cheap anywhere. Chainsaw wheel size is large (and teeth count low... but that's on me for not reading the speciffics. not worth the purchase at all! ... show more

I built a torii gate over the weekend. I did a lot of cutting & wood shaping. This assortment came in handy. One note about the chain disc...... please take your time and exercise caution, the chain can dig into the wood quickly and spin out of control, causing either damage to your wood or your body. I've been using this for shaping axe handles, modifying other tool handles, and some other woodworking projects for rounding edges and so forth. It's a useful spread of discs that covers a wide range of wood shaping scenarios. They all appear to be of reasonable quality for the price, and I'm getting a lot of use out of the rasps. Use them with a light hand though, as they can take off a lot of material quickly. The chainsaw blade attachment scares me a little bit, and is to be used with extreme caution as it's a little grabby! Overall, a good value. ... show more
