Just finished up our first use of this canopy. I can say it was relatively easy to setup by myself. The stakes could use some upgrades as they are typical tent stakes and two came loose during a strong storm, but other than that this thing is built with quality material. We did have several strong downpours of rain that tested the structural integrity and the water resistance. The roof held up great and no leaks. The breakdown was just as easy as setup with one person. The individual removal side covers are a nice touch as you can block out one panel or all panels. I highly recommend for the price point compared to other brands. Would definitely purchase again.

Not sure why this is showing up on the 11x11 pop-up canopy but I ordered and received the 13x13. Same color, but bigger. And for what it's worth, unless you are very specifically limited in size due to available space (or some other rule that prevents you from having bigger than a 10x10 footprint with the poles) you should absolutely go for a 12x12 or 13x13, or even a 10x20. By the time you put whatever you're gonna put under that 10x10 canopy there's little chance that you'll still have room to move about. Picnic tables are a perfect example. 10x10 feels like it'll be big enough since the table is only 8 feet long... But that only leaves 1 foot on either side, and if you're putting up sidewalls then you've basically just cut off access to the other side of the table unless you push it entirely against one of the walls to create a narrow 2-foot channel on the other side. My point being that a 12x12 (or bigger) canopy is always the way to go if you can. Ok, so advice aside, I picked this up with several other Garvee canopies to test them all out. I got an 11x11, this and another 13x13, and a 10x20. This Garvee "essentials" is the more budget version compared to the Garvee "Life" line, but the only real difference has to due with the vent cap at the top. On the "Life" model, the cap is larger and sits up higher, so it basically gives more space to vent heat and has better overlap to prevent water from getting underneath during inclement weather. This "essentials" version can let water in, but then it has a "hammock" underneath the camp to ideally catch the water that does get in and you can either tip that hammock at a later point to get it out, or you can let it sit there and evaporate over time. If you're using the canopy as a cook tent, it will probably evaporate faster due to the heat from the grill/stove. But aside from that vent, the frames are pretty much exactly the same. They're mid-tier level in terms of sturdiness. They do require assembly the first time, but after that they're pretty starightforward pop-ups. They look just like the Colemans they are clearly trying to clone and most people will probably just assume it's a coleman from a distance. But that's the thing and the reason this is only a 4-star review for me: It's not a Coleman, so I don't get why they're asking Coleman-brand prices! This was listed for $159.99 when I ordered it, and that's just too much (in my opinion) for a non-brand-name canopy when I can get the brand-name for roughly the same cost, or maybe just a slight bit more. So that's the thing, it's just not a good value at the current listed price. If you get a good sale or they drop the price then sure, these seem perfectly good but until then I'd just spend the money on a brand-name that has a reputation and warranty behind it.

Let me say that we LOVED this thing. I say loved because We had just moved it to do some yard work and before we could secure it back down we had a huge windstorm hit us and pick this thing up and slam it down breaking two of the legs. This was the best canopy we had owned up to that point. It's 13x13 size was much bigger than the normal 10x10 and the mosquito netting worked SO great at keeping us from being torn up by bugs. We had a hammock and some chairs underneath it and would go outside and hang out and relax. Putting it together was simple, a bit more complicated than normal canopys that don't have the netting, but it was still a single person job. It does come with the sandbags and straps to tie it down, which we used and it worked great until we took them down to do yard work. When this thing broke we were devastated. We replaced it with another 10x10 which is working great, but we miss the netting and look of this one. Overall I think for the price this is really worth it compared to others and as long as you strap it down I think this will be with your family for a long time.

This is a review for the Garvee 13x13 Hexagonal Pop Up Gazebo. Once this is up it looks genuinely good in a backyard — the double roof design and two-tone gray color combination give it a polished, intentional appearance rather than the generic farm tent look you get from most pop-up canopies. The hexagonal shape is also a meaningful size upgrade over a standard 10x10, which sounds minor until you actually try to fit people and furniture under a 10x10 and realize there's nowhere to stand. Setup takes two people and about an hour the first time, less once you've done it once. The steel frame feels solid when it's fully assembled, the adjustable height is a practical feature for uneven ground, and the mosquito netting is a genuine quality-of-life upgrade for evening use. The netting material is decent and doesn't feel like it'll tear from casual contact. The honest caveat is wind. This is not a leave-it-up-all-summer structure. In anything beyond a light breeze it needs to be staked down, and even then it's worth taking down when weather is expected. The sandbags alone aren't enough in gusty conditions, and a few other reviewers apparently found that out the hard way. Treat it as an event canopy you put up and take down rather than a semi-permanent fixture and it'll serve you well for years. For occasional outdoor gatherings, cookouts, or market use, the value and appearance are genuinely hard to beat.

If you find this review linked to a different product, please disregard the review. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this canopy setup! It was much easier to set up than we had feared it might be; we timed ourselves assembling it for the first time and it took 1 1/2 hours, but we were purposefully going slow to make sure we understood all the instructions. I expect next time it'll be maybe half that long. The parts are all quite sturdy, and I believe it'll last for a long time. That said, we only expect to use it for special outdoor events a few times a year. If it were a permanent fixture it would eventually wear down from the elements, but that's true of any product similar to this. Luckily it's easier to take down than it even is to put up, so using it occasionally won't be a hassle. The screens are a fantastic feature for me personally; I'm terrified of insects, and they seem to be drawn to me. The screens let me finally enjoy time outdoors with my family without constantly swatting them away and getting incrementally more freaked out the more often it happens. Of course it's not that there are NO insects, but they are way, way fewer than before. We're exceptionally happy with this gazebo!

Got this for our deck because the mosquitoes have been absolutely brutal in past years. Setup was easy as long as you have a couple people. Took me and my husband maybe 10 minutes the first time and probably less now that we know what we're doing. The size is great. Plenty of room for a table and chairs and the bug netting works pretty well. We were finally able to sit outside and eat dinner without getting eaten alive. The netting zips closed and keeps most of the bugs out. My only real complaint is that I wouldn't trust this thing in much wind. It seems sturdy enough for normal use, but it's definitely not something I would leave up all the time. The center lock mechanism was also a little stubborn the first time and took more force than I expected. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. Overall I'm happy with it. For the price it's a nice way to get some shade and keep the bugs away, just don't expect it to survive in a storm. Unfortunately, this was pretty disappointing. I was very excited to put this in our backyard. We decided to finally put this up 4 days ago. It was really easy to set up, and my husband did it all himself so it was easy for one person to do. While it looks great, that is about where the pros end. Once we set this up, we filled the included sandbags and attached them to the legs. We discovered that the mosquito nets don't sit flat when the sandbags are on, which kind of defeats the purpose of the netting. Regardless, we were pretty excited to use this. After having it setup for about 2 hours, we looked outside to see that it had completely blown over even with the sandbags on the legs. Mind you the wind gusts that day were up to 5mph that day and it was not, by any means, a windy day. After inspecting it we found that the sandbags had bent and broken one of the legs from the weight when it blew over. We were able to salvage it, and despite a broken leg and a few other bent/broken pieces on the canopy, we got it back upright and ended up staking it down in addition to the sandbags just in case. The following day we had the same weather, sunny, but a slight breeze. By the end of the second day the gazebo was hardly standing. The canopy collapsed on one side, you could tell the wind had slightly moved it again, causing the legs to bend at awkward angles due to the sandbags and being staked down. At this point it really isnt even salvageable. If a normal breeze can break this down in a matter of days I can't imagine that it would last over a summer if you were lucky enough to not have any wind. Overall, pretty disappointing.

I have a several lawn parties/cookouts every year for family, neighbors, coworkers, friends, and any combination of. I also live in the mountains on top of a bare ridge, so wind can definitely be an issue. I didn't want to spend the money to buy and install a permanent roofed gazebo, and then still run the risk of it losing it's roof in a windstorm, but some shade is an absolute need during the height of summer. I'm not kidding - this is exactly PERFECT for my needs. Two of us had it up from cutting open the box to sitting inside with the screens closed in about an hour, and this included unboxing and removing hte packing time and "figuring out what's what and what to do when" time. Next time will be even quicker now that we've got it figured out. The roof fits TIGHT, so keep that in mind when putting it up. The rings to put the netting on with were all included, and there's a TON of room in this thing. Best part is - I can use this for many, many years to come since it will not be permanently exposed to the elements like a permanent one would. I do recommend you have help putting it up. I don't know that I could have done it by myself without some extreme effort, but take this with the following - I'm 5'2 and 60 yrs old. Not as strong as I once was, and have never been able to reach even the middle kitchen cabinet shelves without a stepladder! LOL! So I guess my advice to have help really best applies to the "5'2" and shorter, 60 yrs old and older" crowd! Regardless, this is a GREAT addition to my backyard gatherings, and with just basic proper care it'll be useful for many many MANY years to come.
