Great clarity, nice size. I don't like mini binocs, they are difficult for me to use. These are a nice comfortable size. The neck string is padded for comfort and the lens covers hook to the string so they won't get lost. The lens covers for the other end are attached to the binoculars so they won't get lost. My last two pairs of binoculars the lens covers were always getting lost, the neck string was uncomfortable, I felt like I was juggling things instead of using them for viewing. These are just easy and comfortable to use. As a novice "birder" (bird watcher), these binoculars are excellent in several ways. Portable. The footprint of these binoculars in the case is an appealing size to have under your arm or in a backpack. Excellent visibility and easy to adjust. I particularly like the attached lens covers and how easy to adjust the focus dial is. The twist open "view cups" are a nice touch. My kids and I got a lot of use out of these on our summer beach trip this year! They worked very well and were good at looking at things both very distant with the 12 magnification and fairly nearby with great detail. They are actually virtually identical to another pair we got the previous year, and perform almost identically as well, which is good, since the kids have no basis to complain about which one they were using. For a basic inexpensive binocular this is great for my purposes. I keep this in my car so I can easily grab them while hiking or at the beach to see things far away. Makes it much easier to see details of birds and animals. This set has more features than the very basic binoculars - it has lens covers, a neck strap, and a carry case, as well as night vision.
