I had ordered this carport after seeing a similar one that a friend got. His only concern had been that he had wished the one he got had the roof panel ribs oriented vertically so I found this one with the ribs on the panels set in the vertical direction. The three packages that I received were very well packed and all of the panels and other parts arrived in perfect condition. I followed the very comprehensive instruction manual closely and had no difficulties with assembly. The design was very well thought out and the predrilled holes aligned perfectly. The only challenge I had was the plastic trim corners at the corners of the roof did not have any predrilled holes for aligning the corners with the edge trim. Then I noticed that the package did have a drill bit to use for placing the holes where they needed to go. After assembling the roof and panels as instructed I got my wife and daughter to help me lift the roof up to slide the legs into position. I had been concerned if we would be able to lift it high enough to complete this step but my strong girls and I got it up without undue difficulty. I had cut three 2X4’s 2 inches longer than the legs so that we could position them under the 3/4 inch square tube rails in order to hold up the roof while installing the legs. I cut notches in these 2X4 props so they would not slip off of the rails. I think these props made installation of the legs go more easily. I was impressed with how well every detail in designing this kit had been thoughtfully considered by the designer. The only tip I have for installing this carport is that unless you are using the provided anchors to bolt the carport to a concrete pad it should be securely anchored so that it is not picked up by strong winds. We put the carport on a level base of well packed gravel. Two foot long mobile home type anchors were installed at each of the corner. We also pinned the base of each leg in place with 12 inch long galvanized spikes. I don’t think we could be any happier with this carport kit. ... show more

I am very pleased with my purchase. The carport went together smoothly and all parts were in the package. I assembled the entire top structure by myself. At times it would have been nice to have an extra set of hands, but a pair of clamps worked just fine. When I lifted it on to its legs, I had two friends to help me. We completed the raising in about an hour. The instructions had no words, only pictures. But they were fairly easy to follow. I thought the carport was engineered well. The quality of materials was good and I had no problem with the holes lining up. The secret to that is making sure it is square. A framing square works well for that. The packaging was excellent. I had an unusual situation with a driveway that was not flat. I mounted 4” x 4” post on the driveway to level it and then mounted the carport on top of that. I will try to include a picture. I am very satisfied with my purchase an save a couple thousand dollars! ... show more

Ok, where to start? The boxes are Heavy, to me. I'm 58, female and plump. Lol. Also widowed. So I had to do it mostly alone. It came in 3 boxes, packaged well. The directions left a lot to be desired! It was mostly picture directions. So on my many breaks, I studied the pictures. What I liked was, you put the roof together first on the ground. Being alone, I got creative to add extra arms by using my outdoor table and chairs to hold up pieces of framing while I attached them. Once I did that I hit a groove and got the main roof frame together. Adding the smaller framing was easy. Also, find a socket wrench that fits! Made it faster. The roof panels were easy enough but didn't always line up right with the holes. Some tugging or pushing on the frame to get them close to aligning. A couple didn't at all so I had to punch new holes with the cordless screw drill. I bought some clear watertight caulking and added that where needed as I went. Also, when doing the panels, there are ridge vent connectors you have to place ever so often. Directions say, example, place between 4the and 5th panel. That means counting the panels on Both sides! Not just panels on one side. That was one of my studying the pictures things. Lol. It didn't make sense til I got a ridge vent panel out to measure the distance between connectors. Sucky directions! It took some redo's, but I finally got the roof together. Including the trim rails. I enlisted the help of 2 neighbor young men to lift each side as I slid the legs on. No way could I do that part by myself! Adding the last bolts and support cross beams was easy. Tools that helped, cordless drill, screwdriver and a socket fitting. And Patience! Lol Cons. Some panels were a little bent in shipment. And directions that were more a puzzle. PROS. It's very heavy and strong materials! Each piece was labeled. Thank God. Even the nuts. Bolts, screws and washers were separated in individual bags and labled. Huge plus! It looks great too! Edit! I forgot to mention, peeling the plastic protector off the panels was an exercise in patience! While.its not hard to do, its a bit tedious. No one mentions that detail. Lol. ... show more

Product arrived as it said it would. And it was left in the middle of my driveway in 3 boxes. (Thankfully I ordered this before the rains came.) Anyway product was of good quality and packaged pretty well with metal corner stays for stability to the boxes. Built the frame with 3 people and started the roof on the first day took about 4 hours. Please be careful when working with the metal sheeting. I sliced/fileted my leg open through my pants when trying to walk next to while assembling the roof. My fault the area was a tight fit were we wanted it. I would buy this product again if I needed another. Price was very reasonable and it was free shipping. I live in rural Pierce County Washington if that helps anyone. Oh! The plastic covering the metal sheeting took about an hour to pull off all the pieces with 3 people. All and all I would say give yourself a couple of days with a few good friends and make a party of it! Will add a picture later. ... show more

Happy with product, 4 stars because of the pain of removing shipping plastic thats on every thing, if plastic was a little thicker it may have come off easier. I tryed heat gun, didnt help much. I learned find edge and pull up. Rather than sideways......you'll get the hang of it. Sight damage from shipping....oh well. Not noticed when completed. I added longer self tapper on all edge moulding joints as I felt tiny screws werent enough. Fills pretty solid in wind as we can have alot. Eastern Az. I plan to buy another next year if available. I assembled by myself self although very challenging at times, I used 2ton engine lift/ crane. To hoist to install legs once assembled. Flexed abit but didnt hurt it. It came with extra screws and required hardware, tools also. But, used my own. Use a small awl to align small edge holes. ... show more

We purchased and assembled a similar car port couple of years ago and wanted a second one. The one we purchased was not available or not being made anymore. Found this one for around the same price and size. This one is easy to assemble, and I like the bolt together options as opposed to screws. The instructions are a bit had to understand but nothing a bit of time will overcome. I assembled by myself in couple of days except for the raising it up on the legs. Had to rent a forklift to get that done as I could not find any help. Love the look of it and wish I would have found this one instead for my other one. ... show more

Note that this rating is of the product (other things, like delivery placement, are not considered). The carport came a few days earlier than expected in 3 heavy boxes. Everything (even work gloves) was included along with instructions that can actually be understood and followed. The car port was in pristine shape when I unpacked it and all parts were easy to identify, Solid, well-made product. Note for assembly time: The roof and side panels are covered on one side with a thin plastic film to protect them from scratching during shipping. There are about 4 dozen of them and my best time for removing one plastic sheet was 16 minutes! Fortunately, the assembly has gone along smoothly and quickly. Still, if you are paying by the hour to have it assembled, this will really up the cost if you don't do this step yourself. Solid product for the price. Good looking when done. May get another one for my other car. ... show more
