Get the smart version of this battery if you plan on using it by itself. Other than that, it's a great product. You need to understand how to test battery charge with a voltmeter, they sell ones for LIFe batteries out there and you could buy a separate tester but having the details in your app would be easier for a non integrated install (which would require a separate battery manager anyway). When it drops below 11v, it stops taking a charge - fret not, you can wake up the BMIS with a jump pack to then accept a charge from a smart charger. Know the limitations and the workarounds and this battery fits nicely. You must do your homework on lithium batteries, solar and chargers because it's a learning curve if this is your first rodeo. I'm writing the review I needed when I bought this, lol.

I am about 3/4ths done with my build - with 4 - 100 watt solar panels on the roof, a 100 amp MPPT charge controller, 3 - 100 amp hour lithium batteries and a 3000 watt inverter (and a few other bits and pieces), the batteries, including this one hold the power which allows me to run a small refrigerator, a toaster oven and electric pressure cooker for keeping and making food, provides 12V lighting and a few other things. This battery seems to be fine and works as it should - I hope all 3 batteries last as long as I understand they can in these circumstances. A good price for a 100 ah lithium battery.

This review is for the MFUZOP brand 500 amp battery monitor with shunt. The display was smaller than I expected. If you are tight on space, then this package could be a good option. On the flip side, if you need reading glasses, then the size of the display may be a source of frustration. Personally, I would like a bigger display. For me, I am using it in a DIY solar generator. Wiring is similar to other shunts I’ve used.

The media could not be loaded. I have a little off-grid solar setup powering my home office equipment. It has two 12v, 100ah lifepo4 batteries in series as the storage. I have long wanted a shunt-based amp/power/capacity meter/gauge for this setup so I jumped at the opportunity to review this one. I've been very happy with it so far. I have the wire running to my desk where I can see the status of the batteries at any time. It seems accurate in the amp draw and voltage reading, but it can get a little confused if you don't set the 100% charge voltage just right, which tells it to calibrate itself to 100% when the batteries reach that voltage. That part doesn't actually seem ideal, since LiFePO4 batteries will reach and stay at their maximum charge voltage long before they're actually at full capacity. But regardless, I've been very happy with this meter and would recommend it.

I really like how this gives me a way more accurate read out over the simple 4 light system in my RV. The audible alarm has been great if we need to start the generator, my kids can even understand that the battery will die soon if not tended to. The display is small but readable.

Update: Manufacture got back with me to clarify the following: 1, unit is not water proof and should only be used inside where it is not damp or wet. 2. From the dimensions provided, that is considered a template. You need to take those dimensions and make your own cutout to place where you want to put this meter and then mark and cut. As far as they are concerned, this is a template. To me, a template would be a physical cutout that you place and then trace onto the item you want to cut. Perception I suppose. 3. Contrary to a comment made in the instructions, you do.NOT need to disconnect the battery to charge it. 4. Size is a compromise to allow multiple location mounts. Original review follows: ********************** Ok, the big thing here is that the display is much smaller than the ad makes it look. When they show the display in the RV the size would need to be at least 3 inches by 5 inches and NOT 1.2 inches by .75 inches. The physical display listed when you drill down into the details on the item page lists it almost twice the size it is. See picture for comparison to a AA battery. They also do not give you a template to cutout the area you want to mount this in!!! This is a big deal because you only have 1/16 of an inch to work with on each edge. See picture for an idea how little you have to work with to cut an opening. There is NO listing as to whether this is water proof or not! So, not being listed, I would have to guess NOT water proof which limits its use again!!!! Instructions are confusing. As written, you must disconnect battery to charge, bypassing the unit. If true, that makes this a complete waste. Not worth my time to try to install.
