As others have stated, it may work well for small engines but I couldn’t get any luck even on my light V6 springs. Ended up just welding one of the cups to a c clamp and compressing them that way

    • Could be made stronger
Worked like a charm. Perfect for removing and installing valves on a cylinder head that is removed from the block. However, the C body will bend out if it is torqued too much, like I did. I only noticed the distortion when I put it back I the case and it didn't fit its slot in the case.

This valve spring compressor is only good for lawn mowers or 50cc dirt bikes. it will not work on larger displacement dirt bikes e.g. 250cc & up.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works great! You know you need a new one for your tool box ( mine was 20+ years old and a crap shoot if it would work) If you don't like hunting for valve spring retainers in the shop, I highly recommend spending a few bucks here, Worth every penny!
